I doubt if there's an IR response for this but does anyone have any knowledge of a reverb setting that comes close? Love the sound of that space. Whenever I hear it, whether from records recorded there or live performances or the room sounds on the Abbey Road drum libraries, it just sounds killer. Would love to be able to use it as needed. Who knows, they released the Waves Abbey Road plates, so maybe they're working on it....

i know i can just run cubase in 32bit mode but i really don't want to. i'm on a mac. anyone have any solutions for connecting reason to cubase with rewire? don't feel like buying the newest version of reason either. i've got 5 which is 32 bit.

Synology server. There are tons of models, and the older ones will do what you want way better than a standalone computer. And they will do so, so much more.
Shared folders are accessible via mac file system (AFP), windows (SMB), or NFS. You can also do multiple backups via TimeMachine if you prefer. It's incredibly easy to configure them in RAID as well. Media servers for all your TV's. Easily accessible remotely, etc...

yeah, dudes voice is killer. i had about 10 minutes with this mic which isn't a lot, i know, but it doesn't seem like there's THAT much high end lift. thought it was pretty close to what i heard, but who knows, it's been a while.

I vote for Yosemite. Seems to be the most stable for me so far. I'm also on an iMac, it's the 5k but probably similar performance. I've heard of some issues with El capitan with some 32 bit software having issues.

I've heard some well known mix engineers (Michael Brauer) talk about vertical space in a mix. Any suggestions on how to achieve this? I'd love to experiment around with stuff that sounds like it's above my head. I'm talking about in a stereo mix.

are you seeing it clip in your DAW meter? or are you applying other effects within the Apollo after you leave your DAW?

are you using them at their line level settings or are you driving the inputs and attenuating outs? just curious.

nevermind. apparently when cubase connects fx sends automatically, even if they're not activated, you must remove them so they won't create a potential feedback loop. once i removed them from the group track i wanted to rout the fx channels to, I was able to do so.

So I was hoping Cubase would have this figured out by now but apparently not.
I'm trying to send my whole mix back into a track to print without hitting my converters. My brain tells me there should be two possible ways.
1. Send all tracks to a group track that is routed no where, select group track as the input source on another audio track, monitor it, and send that output to my DA.
The problem with this is that Cubase won't let me send my FX tracks to a group track so I won't have the FX printed to the new audio track.
2. Setup multiple outputs, select the output of the master track as an input for the new audio track and send the output of the print track to a separate output track for DA. The problem with this is that Cubase won't let me select an output track as an input source.
How are you guys doing this? Or do you always run through converters before it comes back in?
It seems stupid to me that you can't send your FX channels to a group track.

Double check your satellite has the correct sample rate. My Apollo twin will typically not automatically sync sample rates and causes crackling until I manually adjust.

I've rebuilt a couple. I have an all original 1973 Suitcase that sounds amazing. Vintage Vibe is a great resource for parts, advice, and repair videos. Notes that sustain and don't dampen are super easy to troubleshoot. It's just a matter of bending the damper arms by hand, Vintage Vibe has a free video on Youtube illustrating it. Muted notes are also an easy fix. Usually just a bad tine which is easy to replace. Sending off your piano is a bigger pain in the ass and expense. Do you have a Peterson preamp? Vintage Vibe can also help you troubleshoot that. Is it grounded properly? Could be something basic. Also check out EP-Forum. ep-forum.com/epforum/smf/nice. i hadn't seen this preamp video, i'll give that a look. i have watched all the other vintage vibes videos and it actually helped clean it up quite a bit. just never ended up ordering any replacement parts. i might just have to do that. thanks yotonic

What do you need done to your 73? there are a couple notes that that sustain when they're not supposed to. a couple that are pretty muted. just needs a little love. i think something in the vibrato section electronics department might be going bad to as it's getting noisier than it used to be. i might need to get the resistors and capacitors in there replaced, which is something i could probably do, but i'm not in the mood to troubleshoot it. i'd rather just pay someone to tell me exactly what's needed, then i can make the decision to either tackle it myself or have them do it.

new in nashville and wondering if any of you can recommend a good hammond organ technician. I have a C3/122 and it sounds like it's having trouble retaining power. Need someone to troubleshoot it.
Thanks!

Yeah, thought the music side of it was good. Good to see jazz getting a spotlight once in a while.
