I had contacted Michael Britt to see if he had any bass amp profiles for sale and he just sent me a handful for free. Cool dude!

I have several vp28's and 26's and recently shot them out next to a vintech, Amek, and germanium. Vp's and the vintech finished on top.

I've used synergy and KVM switches and my favorite is a little software called share mouse. I believe it is free for two computers and then $25 per computer after that but it's been a long time since I've used it so the price is may be different. But the usability and reliability is wonderful

i start mixes with the kick and snare hitting at around -10 on the 2bus. I never change the level of the fader on the 2 bus and find this give me enough headroom to work with throughout the song with worrying about clipping. by the end of the mix a loud section might be between -4 to -6 with an occasional peak above that but very rarely do I have to adjust channel levels later to bring everything down if I start at that point.

Ended up picking up one of the new American professional p-basses. Sounds amazing. Came even more alive going through a ferrite di through the vp28 through a jlm la500.

You can also open an LLC and be taxed as an S-corp. This recommendation from my accountant is the best way I've found for tax purpose.

so i just picked up a kemper. curious if you guys feel like the headphone output is low output. mine certainly seems to be. to the point of being uninspired. i plug it into my interface which has a great headphone amp and i get some fantastic tones.

Either I'm really dumb or they are. I can't seem to find the kemper remote for sale by itself. Please set me straight. It seems like it's only bundled....

I currently use my single 16a like so: 16 analog in/out (patchbay) 8 adat out (4 stereo headphones feed) 4 adat in (kemper input) 1 adat out (kemper di return) My unit held up for two years before needing to be replaced while just barely within the warrenty window. I think my problem was caused by cable strain. My biggest complaint has been the difficulty of understanding their routing matrix...but to be honest, it's probably as simplified as can be at this time. Can you clarify how you are using your adat inputs and your kemper? i have a 16a as well and am thinking about getting a kemper but the kemper has coax and the 16a has optical.

Not looking for monster cable expensive, but definitely want good quality.
I noticed some ive seen have rubber shields on them. Is this necessary?

Your audio interface or your Kemper crapped out?

I'm new to guitar amp world but which version of the Kemper should I be looking at, the 600w or just the head? Do any of u actually use the Kemper to power something and what would the 600 watts be powering? A PA?

If you can wait, I'd hold off until 3rd quarter this year. Apple is supposedly going to release another MacBook pro version that may be cheaper and will support 32gb RAM. I'd probably just go for that one.

I picked up one of the new fender Elite P basses last year so I could record some of my own bass parts and I am very happy with it. It has P Bass pickups in the neck and a J Bass pickup in the bridge. You can change the pickups from passive to active with just the flip of a switch. It had just been taken out of the box when I got it with a 15% off coupon at the local guitar center. I am always meticulous in setting up my guitars and was pleasantly surprised that this one was perfect right out of the box. For the money it is really hard to beat and very flexible. yeah, i was looking at the new professional series but the elite might be the way to go if i get those extra pickups
