I pretty much like all the stuff on my Portico Channel strip II. So much that i have 2 of them. But i am hankering and have an eye on another channel strip so i am going to sell one of them to buy that.

The Pacifica was the biggest thing most people lusted after around the 2010 onwards era especially on acoustic guitars and vocals. It was alwasy just a little too much money for me. But i came close so many times to getting one. Like you it has never left my radar. I bought the A-Designs Mp1 so i am telling myself that will do the job but alas it just sits in the box unsused. It will go on the chopping block shortly. But man that MP1 has a huge transformer in it.

Can the A-11 work backwards as a DI and how do you do this?

I found the Focusrite Clarett Pre was a big upgrade to my non modded Digi 003R. Loving the lower latency with Thunderbolt as well. It did sound a fair bit clearer. Going from my DIgi 002 to Digi 003 was a big difference. Now going form the 003 to the Clartte Pre has the same big difference.

Hey there I remember reading some stuff on the UTC input transformers. I cant remember or see what UTC a-11's were good for as I found one in my box of spares and am deciding what to do with it as I am cleaning out stuff. Not sure why I also have Cinemag Cm 2480's as spares but I will get top them later. Thanks

Hey Martin have you decided to buy one of Stam's 67 now? Or are you still going with the loan one first and then see? Does Stam do loan ones to anyone or just the selected few (which is quite justifiable). It could be interesting to hear the difference between his stock modeland the upgraded one. Are you getting both options to test out?

Yes I did. It did mention 2nd installment but I had already made 2 x payments already so counting this one for $400 that would make 3 x installments. Stam has said up to another 30 x days before it is released. I did plan on this being late but now that it is getting closer I am getting a little "Ancy". Did you also get the US$500 SA-67 upgrade option email? I just wonder how many people took up that option. What were you thoughts on that upgrade option?

Looking to see how this Ampex 601 2 x channel tube pre-amp sounds. Took a while to get it built but hopefully it was worth the wait. Attachment Deleted

So is it rude to ask who here ordered a SA-67 from Stam? I think there was a post saying the first 40 units were being shipped. Okay I will put my hand up and say I did order one. My first product from him. I did go into this realising that delivery dates are only a guide though.
So has anyone actually received there Mic yet? I am getting more excited as time goes by. I have not made final payment yet when are you suppose to do that?

Yep Wiz is a great resource as well as being a really nice bloke in person. Best to visit him after easter time as he seems to have an abundance of left over easter eggs. Hmmm chocolate.

Bart has a slight colour to it which I like. Aguilar OPB3 is fairly neutral sounding but a little boring/sterile whats the point type scenario. Have not tried Nordstrand Preamps yet but there pickups are nice.

So ericn you like or did mot likfe the daking eq?i was thinking of getting there channel strip. I thought the malcom toft atc-2 was a handy eq being ic based, so i was thnking the Daking Eq would be taking Malcolms twist up another notch.

I had a Daking Fet II and thought that was a really nice 1176 style compressor as it was not so gritty as the 1176. I loved its smooth sound. But I have never owned a Daking mic pre and was wondering what they might be like? What sonic features would it bring to the stable? Is there any particular sources that really shine on the Daking or is it just a general all round workhorse that does well on most things? I was thinking off getting a Daking Mic pre/Eq as is sports both input and output transfromers as apposed to just the Mic Pre one single input transformer only. THanks for your thoughts.

IS that who makes Warm Audios' 47? IS this a similar scenario to the UA infinity 710 preamp VS Alctron MP100?

Well it was a relay, i swapped it around for another one. I think. He said this is a common problem something about the relay switching on the air function gets stuck or something like that. Anyway i got another one. But i noticed its from the same batch 03/2016 so hopefully it will last.
