Sent him an email to find out. so the 1073eq was removed as well, and I asked Collin why, he said they're just out of stock right now. I expect the same for the compressor. A lot of people sitting at home with time on their hands the last few months. I guess everyone had the same idea this year. The ez1073 is on the site: www.audiomaintenance.com/acatalog/kits.htmlOr are you talking about a different kit? 1073EQ is still not back up yet. you can get the pre, but the EQ you can get is still out of stock (from the looks of it)

am I uncool for really liking my big thick monster cable? I know it's the one you can find at any best buy, but I've seen many a pro guitar player trust these just the same. I'm interested in ordering that Sommer cable though..

Also - I have a feeling that real keyboard players would be just fine with the cheap Keystation 88 I have - e.g. a great guitar player will sound great on a Squier. But am I not doing myself any favors with the Keystation? I haven't shopped for a new midi controller in a decade and a half...I'm sure there are much better ones out there. Has velocity control on these come a long way? Can I buy a $200 midi controller that would be better than the KS88? Or is the problem just my playing? I had an maudio 49 and it was ok, but buying a used novation remoteSL for 100 bucks 5 years ago was a significant step up in key triggers. There's a lot more to fiddle with from the controller, and has a screen so you can modify settings and know what's happening too. That way you don't have to envelope a bunch of hits and drag up.

I just finished the Blue Oyster Cult record. I bought a bunch of stuff in the process, a Silver Bullet, Audioscape 76A and AxeFXIII all great pieces, but I'm done for a while now. No gigs on the horizon until the fall, and that's optimistic. Most have been rescheduled exactly a year later, to fall on the same day of the week. Live shows will depend on what the virus does, and how people feel about arenas and theaters. Sure killed Broadway, and MSGarden. Let's look at Las Vegas, see what happens and if people come out. The talent booking agents are cutting their throats. Venue owners have to be hurting too. Congrats on that! Looking forward to hearing it. I also got a 76A and it's not going out of my rack any time soon.

There were a lot of people buying gear to play on instagram/facebook etc, I've never seen so many SM7bs! I'm totally guilty of stimulus-ing some focal Shapes.. I think you have a lot of people who have had a lot of time on their hands, might as well play a new instrument. I was able to sell a korg minilogue in 2-3 hours, which never happens.

I got mine in yesterday, I'm loving this thing. Sold my minilogue, probably will now sell my minibrute. This is one budget synth that does it all for me, and won't feel terrible bringing out of the house for shows, provided shows ever happen again.
the white noise is letting me do some fun NIN type sequences, it's got all the sounds I've been trying to do with 2 oscillators, turns out I needed 4. The mod wheel functions with a really great smoothness capability so you can really go crazy if need be, and I do! It also lights up the higher it goes, and that is a bell and whistle I really enjoy looking at.
I also really love the chorus. It's very intuitive right out of the box, which makes me happy as well.

Going one step further, I always look at whether to get an SM7b this month, and i always push it to next month. I just did my regular check, and lo and behold, there are no sm7bs available. I think everyone and their mother are doing home broadcasts, and saw Dave Matthews (and others) early on with the SM7b. That'll sell a lot of mics. Only one available for almost 700 bucks on reverb, no used at all. Ha!

I've been able to sell any "sit at home and fiddle with it" keyboards etc in hours for more than i got it used on reverb, so there are a lot of people at home wanting to jam.

I have a pair of the 500 Pultec eqs (edit: Lindells, to be extra clear): one fried an opamp a year ago, and the other died last night, started fritzing... another module in the slot is clean as can be. Wondering if they’re even worth repairing, paid 160 for each or something. Kind of a drag, they sounded pretty good. Anybody want a cheap pair for repair and mod? If you're in the states, I'll pay for shipping if you want to send them over, happy to give it a shot

With the coupon code I posted above, anyone who owns the DS1 collection can upgrade for around $350. That includes the new EQ1 and the new Softube 1 Weiss channel strip as well. I don’t have console 1 but that’s a pretty decent price for two world class plugins. Let me know if you want a console 1, I have the metal original one, and I could use that money to buy a new synth I even put ssl like stickers on it to make it look cool haha

Can someone explain to me technically, how the hell it's possible for the same size speaker to be that spectacularly different? Is it the material of the cone? The biggest difference i can SEE is the different twitters in different makers. A sum of the parts? Real wood cabinets? I turned on Weezer's Blue Album this morning, something I know so well, I have memorized the hi hat rhythms. And I'm just hearing parts I've never heard before. I"m not trying to blow up these monitors, I'm just feeling sheepish for waiting so long. #YouGetWhatYouPayFor

I think AML is the direct distributor for carnhill transformers, so he's got a heck of a discount. From my understanding, he also worked at Neve? This is 50th hand info but I have built two of the 73's, and use them as my stereo pair, since i don't have any other stereo pairs of neve things by the same manufacturer. I'm happy with them! He even labels the parts so that you just put them in order. I'm trying to remember if the resistors were even pre-bent too... it's really a deal if you're east coast U.S. I get 2-3 day shipping from England. I have 2 spaces left in my rack for the EQ's when I feel like disappearing 600 bucks.

I bought their Drumbrute Impact drum machine on Tuesday, it's incredible value, like my old 606 but with way more features. Love it! Their minibrute 2 is a great stage keyboard that gets you close enough to the oldie without worrying about spilling beer on it

Think I got pretty close with the Arturia. Thanks for the help guys! S as nobody remember what those little keyboards were emulating different aunts and b3? Can’t remember the manufacturer you mean the roland little keyboards? - i realize this is 10 days later, but just in case. Anything to help someone play phil collins

Well I think I'll just buy a new one. They are super cheap and I can just swap my converter cards over. It's crazy how cheap they are. I remember buying one for 1600 with 8 analog and thought it was a good deal. The near zero latency, soft clip etc was amazing for the time. The soft clip was great and still is. Many many great records were made on that piece, but it's just going to nothing. I still think someone needs to figure out how to crack it for additional io count on any system! Converters have come a long way there though

So the shape 65's just came in today, shipping from England is pretty quick once they get it on the airplane! I figured I'd start breaking them in with a little phil collins, nice comfortable material. In the air comes on first on the amazon music station (i know i know, fidelity, but hey it's convenient). the drum machine has a nice wide delay mix thing. But then he starts singing and it's like he's just floating in the air in front of me, like I feel I can hear individual flaps of his vocal chords. I am sure all of you know what I'm talking about. I've never felt that clear of a center/l/r in my life. it's so clear compared to the cheap set I've had for years. i'm just wowed that it's that big of a difference. i know the bass will develop over the break in, but it's pretty flat which I'm really thankful for as well.

Did you receive the Shape 65's yet? I have been very happy with my Twin Shapes. Seem to translate very well from my room. Not yet, I figure shipping is pretty slow right now for most things.

this is such a topic, and I feel like I've now opened a can of worms for myself to find the perfect monitors (i've been putting this off for 20 years), that at least this first jump should be a big improvement. I just got tired of mixing my song, then putting it on upstairs and hearing something so different. I'd try to find out which OH was left and right and having a hell of a time with it sometimes. I'm expecting this to help.

I'm going to try out the focal shape 65s, found a great deal - 1200 with shipping, brand new. Hopefully this goes ok, between reverb and my credit card i should be able to get any money back... I'm glad I didn't get the Adams, the marketing game was strong there, it took a while to get through what was real and what was hype. I think resell would go fine if these aren't the ones.

We have 45 cases in my area of Northeast Baltimore, some of them at the assisted living facility 2 blocks over, so I'm now delivery everything. If I can't get it delivered, I don't need it. Thankfully I can get delivery everything in the city, even propane!
I WFH most days, so it wasn't a big shift, I hate looking at all my band equipment and have no band members to play with. I really wish a remote jam thing would work successfully. I remember Jam Kazam, but that doesn't seem to have taken off..
