For some of the Phil Collins stuff? At least it sounds like a P5. Love those simple pads. popmann

Yeah! Love those prophet pads. I have a prophet Rev 2 and I use it a lot for those warm pads with slow-ish attack and subtle detune between the two oscillators. I think both oscillators would be on square wave, in close but not perfect tune. And a little bit of the LFO triangle shape, (set pretty slow) sent to the freq of OSC 2 so that the pitch fluctuates a little as you hold the chord.
Adjust the amplitude attack envelope so it swells in at the right speed. (decay and sustain to fairly high) and not too long a release so the chords don't overlap and clash. Then set the lo pass filter down to where it's not too bright... Sounds like there's a slow attack on the filter envelope too, so it slightly opens up during each held chord... Does that help?

I just picked up a 16 voice Rev 2 at a killer price. It’s sitting in my garage quarantining right now.

There’s nothing quite like it. My biggest beef with the DSI/Sequential new ones is the low pass filter moves in “steps”! Not smoooooth. I wanted to like it, but I could not get past that. For me the smoothness of the filter cutoff is a big part of the beauty. Still, congrats on a very nice board though!

No idea. Kind of allergic to synth sounds.
This sounds pretty right, though.

I've been listening to a ton of demos, mainly just for some pad sounds. I was just going to pick up U-HE Diva or something, but I hear it's heavy on the CPU and I've got an aging 2012 Mac Mini. Midi has always been a pain in the ass to me. The DSI OB-6 sounds really rad, but man, it's expensive. Got a great deal on this Rev2 so I can flip it if it doesn't work out.

It was somebody like that that made several little cheap keyboards that modeled one thing.

Was also listening to some Full Moon Fever and I think that’s a prophet on stuff like Face In The Crowd.

I love that whole Reface series. I see lots of touring bands using the organ model.
