I just bought the elements bundle on a whim when it was on sale for $60 during xmas. So far I’ve found neutron useless in my setup. The stock EQ in logic (which is my go to for surgery) beats it every time I try neutron. Probably haven’t spent enough time with it but I find it kinda blurry. The compressor is alright but not as useful as other plugs I have IMO.

There’s 2 of em at a studio I work out of. I’ve put them up occasionally but only have got them to work one time on a spoken word/rap vocal on the bridge of a song. And that was with heavy EQ.

I think I'll wait for the poorly maintained cassette deck tape plugin. Extra wow and flutter, bad azimuth, dirty heads and flat spotted pinch roller! I know you're probably kidding but that's exactly what I'm waiting for. Especially for weird effects and crazy echo/reverb sends.

one of the best 140 emu I've used.. has way more 3D soundstage and depth than Valhalla imo.

Not complete. Minus case, power supply, meter and a bunch of other stuff. This is what I was given to build on behalf of a friend. I went through two 1RU cases trying to find one that works and will still need to do a bunch of mods to fit the front panel to it. I guess I got used to building 500 series stuff from Jeff Steiger and other suppliers that have EVERYTHING included. It took over two months to get hold of a Sifam meter which looks like it was made in a cave. Serpent showed PCB mount screw terminal headers in the description but sent crappy crimp versions instead. I threw them in the trash and spent another $50 on screw terminal headers from Mouser. Don't get me started...!!! Hmm interesting. Built mine a couple years ago with the pcb , kit , case and front panel and while my memory is definitely garbage I don't recall any problems getting mine working.

Any news on this? 400 shipped for a decent sounding stereo pair of 2254s sounds very appealing right now.

Maybe I got a lemon, but my 3U warbler comes nowhere close to a km84 or u87 or any of the other big dog mics at the studio I work at. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing mic for the price. I use it on hihat, maybe a background vocal.

Just demoed V4. Really wanted this to work because I miss the workflow and sound of mixing on an analog console but it's just too weird for me. Back to logic for me

ChaseUTB I have a 96pt TT bay I could sell you for cheap. Just picked up 2 from a radio station that was going out of business. However be aware it is A LOT of soldering to wire your own. Each one of those points has 3 solder points. Plus 3 solder points on the other end for TRS or XLR. That's 576 solder points(according to my math). Took me 4 full days to wire mine in/troubleshoot. Not for the faint of heart. I upgraded from 2 cheap 48 neutrik patch bays that had developed a bunch of issues and headaches. Very glad to be done with those. PM me if interested don't want to clutter this thread.

Firstly: I had to check to make sure it wasn't April 1st. Secondly: I'm guessing Apple will probably void the warranty on any MacBook's that this is fitted to. Thirdly: I'm keeping my 2012 MBP as long as I possibly can. (2x USB 3.0, 2x Thunderbolt, 1x SDC, 1x HDMI, 1x 3.5mm Headphone Socket, MagSafe connector) Funniest thing I've ever seen. I was crying by the end of it.

I've just started assembling a pair of BT50's. I've had a pair of 553F's running for a couple of weeks and they sound great. Even full boost @ 10khz on an acoustic guitar still managed to sound sweet (KM84 > SCA J99 > 553F) Can't wait to hear the BT50's in action. Lookin good. I wonder how many people will be jumping on to order the last 10 Monday morning lol. I predict a fiasco. KM84 jealousy. I'm definitely trying to grab one..
