The white mics look awesome! I've always liked that color on the Korby KAT. Having said that, I bet that lime green Bock is going to cause quite the reaction 😬

I wasn’t really expecting UA to come out with an SM7B knockoff.
I wonder if the Bock mics are going to be much different than past Bock offerings.

I'm still up for a Soundelux U99 (or Bock equivalent) and UA have epic support so if it exists consider one sold.

I'm still up for a Soundelux U99 (or Bock equivalent) and UA have epic support so if it exists consider one sold. I'm assuming the U99 is the 167 in this pic. I also see a 187 which would be new as far as I know. Bock never did an 87 clone before did he?  |

The U95 was often compared to the U87, but it wasn't a direct clone. I'm really hoping they didn't screw up the 251.

This isn't a negative, but a real question: How many 251 87 67 clones before the market is flooded and devalued?

Right, could be cool and exactly what some people are looking for. I should have clarified, what I was really getting after is that there has been a good bit of concern that things will change now that UA owns Bock. Coming out of the gate with the flagship Bock mic looking completely different isn't going to help that narrative in my opinion. Having said all that, if it sounds amazing I'll gladly buy one 😂 |

And while I have no idea about pricing the impression I got was that we aren't talking about $500 251 style builds. |

In other words it’s not a licensing deal where David is making a line of mics for Universal Audio, is it? |

So I think UA owns Bock AND he is employed by UA. |

I wasn’t really expecting UA to come out with an SM7B knockoff. I wonder if the Bock mics are going to be much different than past Bock offerings. VK has these on their site for $299.99, which makes them competitive to the 7B as well in price.
Is it just me or does the body of this microphone look an awful lot like a relatively recent 7B-style microphone as well? Did UA buy out any other manufacturers?
edit: I think it's just me. I'm pretty sure seeing the XLR stick out of the center/back of the microphone is just throwing me off vs the traditional mount on the SM7B.
