2 usb flash drives. I forget how long it took me to install it. It's my first Spectrasonics gizmo. Installation took jumping through a couple hoops. The tricky part, for me was that, I had to figure out that I had to just let it install to the main drive to begin with. Then, when I wanted to move the large Steam sample library to my auxiliary SSD, I had to figure out that I had to change the Windows 10 settings, to show hidden files. Also, I want to reiterate, that I by no means love everything in Keyscape, but what I do love, I am absolutely ecstatic about. Just crazy good,eh?

Random thoughts: - all of this will be my opinion - I super love it. Super recommend it. - I bought it, hoping that the main piano would be my most favorite, super awesome. It is very much not. So that is a big disappointment. - now the good: there are a freaking ton of electric piano, and other such instruments. And there are duo presets. There is a LOT here. I have only checked out a little of it. That said, I have already found instruments and duo instruments, that my honest opinion is that Keyscape would be a steal at 10 times the price. For me, to me, its that extra awesome, extraordinary, just plain beautiful and fun. It does take a computer with good specs. I think. After reading popmann's recent posts, I am reminded very much about how truly little I know about that whole subject.

In my experience, all Rhoades lead to Shannon. You would have to sing through his mic, and actually experience it yourself, to understand how good it is. I do covers of songs by many phenomenal singers from the 30's right up to present day. I am unabashedly ecstatic with how I sound singing through Shannon's mics. This all may sound like I'm exaggerating. To which I would say, talk to me again, after singing through one of his mics. Its euphoric, man.

saw him in a show called Gregg Allman All My Friends. I had no idea who he was. I remember he played slide. he was so incredible, that I googled to find out who he was. he's so good, that you really have to hear him to really understand. words fail in something so sublime. words only hint at the majesty, the magnificence, the beauty.

Hmm diy? Looks really cool. I do like diy but this might be a little much for me. I think I'm gonna go Burl. I can always use that as a master clock, and I like what I've heard with the Apollo clocked to a Burl. It's not DIY. It's a full-fledged product. I only have a couple left from the last batch though. these things just rock. I am an extremely happy customer. highly recommend.

I just googled. found nothing. best work around off the top of my head, I can think of, is getting a programmable thermostat that has a lot of periods allowing you to change the temperature setting many times per day.

I am no expert. just want to mention a couple thinks. I recently got an 850 EVO 1 TB. no troubles with it. I got it, to put piano sample libraries on. I do not know much about it, but I have heard something about wanting to leave a certain percentage of the drive empty, instead of filling it up. (maybe 30 %. not sure now.) thus I got the 1 TB, instead of 500 GB. only saying, in an effort to help.

some thoughts. this is all based on my experience and my opinion. as always, your experience and opinions may be vastly different. - my right thumb nail is as hard as steel. - my other nails were not hard. I wanted to use them. they broke. not good. went to nail salon and got acrylics for 2 years. (had to go back every week or 2 for fills). decided to try again with no acrylics. (stopped maybe 3 years ago now.) my right index finger nail is even worse than before. guessing the nail bed was damaged by the acrylic dryer light. its as thin as a piece of paper. oh well. life goes on. my current strategy is to cut the nails very short. the reason is because if I don't do that, they just break. that is most definitely NOT a good thing. so I clip them to keep them very short, so as to avoid breakage. that means that I'm pretty much playing with no finger nails. mostly bare skin. (I repeat, breakage is to be VERY much avoided.) all of this said, I am now very satisfied. one reason is that I am nearly always monitoring myself with headphones. so I can hear myself VERY good. and it sounds just fine. no, better than just fine. it sounds excellent.

ok, definitely impressed beyond ability to express in words. I have to tell you man, the influence that Ingram's just once has had on me over the past few decades is humongously huge large gigantic. I am in awe of you, that you worked with him and did all of that. you're amazing man. another song that I must tell you about right away, is another one that is absolutely 100% engraved in my heart and soul. its by Gil Scott-Heron. a Lovely Day.

hi Paul, thank you for your post. just felt like chiming in to mention that my friend who told me about Keyscape, said that his favorite preset for the acoustic piano (C7), is just the plain old default preset. just posting this in hopes that it is of help for you.

thank you for all of that popmann. super interesting excellent post.
and Chuck, I know nothing about omnisphere. but I do know that Keyscape needs a host that will play VST's. it will not play unless you load it into such.
and also, by the way, I have only checked out a small bit of all that it has. and even with the glitch thing, that of course is not good, I just played a preset called duo something or other.....I think its a combination of the LA Custom Piano and LA Custom Rhodes or some such (am I overusing the word such?) I like it so much, that it by itself is worth the price of the whole program. that said, for balance, I bought it in hopes that it would have the MOST extraordinary piano sounds. that is, regular acoustic piano sounds and such. oops, sorry. for me (this is just me.......ymmv), the piano sounds are just ok. really, I am not enthused about them at all and such. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok, nap time..... one more thing, Eric said they will be adding more stuff.........and I think he said acoustic pianos too.......
