Will the Pentode give you that airy ,sparkly tube texture??

It's hard to generalize tube circuits as being sparkly, airy, dark, warm, etc. Each tube brings something different to the table. And of course the circuit implementation plays a big role in how the tube behaves. Pentode is all about size and presence to my ears. The sound responds dynamically to the level with which its driven.
I'm happy to announce that more details are now available on our new website. And most importantly all three modules are available for pre-order!

Cool products!

Hi,
We are working on getting sound clips up for everyone. Hopefully by the end of the week. If you have special requests for sound clips send them my way. In the meantime I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
Thanks, Brad

When will they ship? Btw, wonder if there will be a dedicated swap market for the Colours, 'The Colour Exchange'... I remember someone stating that 500 modules are like collecting baseball cards. If 500 modules aren't, these are!

In the meantime I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks, Brad Hi Brad, Some stuff I'd like to hear…….. From the Pulse: - a short, mono slap-back on a vocal [then] the same thing run through the Pentode for tube delay - a dual mono delay (using 2 Pulses) on a vocal and electric guitar lead part hard panned L and R. Something like the 1/4 note on one side and 1/8 note in the other for widening and depth. Obviously approximate note lengths set by ear since it's analog. From the Pentode: - A/B comparison of a DI'd bass run through the Pentode. This is a selfish fantasy on my part of turning my Countryman Type 85 into a tube DI. - Would be cool to hear an A/B vocal with and without the Pentode. My other fantasy of turning my FET condenser into a tube mic. I could go on and on, the possibilities are endless. Some very creative, fun, useful tools you came up with!

Hey guys,
I spent a bunch of time making sound clips this weekend. Man, it's hard work! I'm quickly realizing that making a bunch of sound clips is one thing. But it's a whole other thing to make sound clips that showcase your product in a way that reflects how you want the world to see/hear your design. That's actually much harder.
We do have some clips up on our site for Pulse that demonstrate slapback on a vocal. We even have one that adds in Pentode for a little secret sauce. There is a guitar, too!
Pentode is proving to be a little more challenging from a sound clip perspective. I made a DI bass and and organ clip which show how you can use Pentode to create some harmonic mojo. I'm really striving to make clips that demonstrate obvious/useful changes to the audio.

Brad, Thanks for taking the time for these clips. I can see these modules being very useful. I really like the smoothness and the slightly unpredictable nature of the pulse delay. Both the guitar and vocal clips sound terrific. I really like the tone of that slap back. The pentode actually surprised me especially with the obvious (in a good way) grit on the organ. It would be great to dirty up a software emu or make something poke through a mix. Bass was nice - fatter for sure. Might be cool tracking through it after my countyman DI. Very useful modules!

I'll have to place an order and check a couple of these myself. Probably the tape and tube emu's. The LTL website doesn't show any info when I click on the models.

Hey John, thanks for fixing my avatar. I noticed that it was broken the other day, but just thought it was a browser issue. Glad you dig the Pulse examples! I'm quite proud of how good that one came out. I've always wanted to have slapback on a button. Tony--all the info is up on the website. It is working for me without issue. If you are still having trouble send a note to Kyle at louderthanliftoff and let my brother know what browser and OS you are using so can fix any issues. In the meantime try this link: store.louderthanliftoff.com/collections/rgbOdyssey76-- thanks for checking out all the clips and providing feedback. That Pentode certainly does some cool things on organ. Both of those Pentode clips had the Saturation knob pretty cranked. There's a huge range of tones in that module, with lots of room for subtle, which I think it does beautifully. Brad

How many of these do you have? I need to wait for some funds to hit my PayPal from eBay, but don't want to miss out. Oh, I've got loads of them. If I run out at any time, it shouldn't be more than a couple of weeks to restock. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Hey Brian, is there a build guide for this one? I looked on the TB site and the DIYRE site and didn't find it. Thanks!

I just happened to see it while browsing DIYRE's homepage the other day, signed up for an email notification when it'd be back in stock, got the email today, ordered a pair and now it's out of stock again.. Anyone care to explain? petersongoodwyn ? www.diyrecordingequipment.com/products/colour-500-series-palette-mkii-kit
