For years now Logic and Final Cut haven’t been able to take advantage of apple silicon, defies logic and many will be happy when they finally cut the shit🤓 Also, TB5 moves 120gb per second, that means you can move 1tbyte in 8.3 seconds, TB3 can move the same in 25 seconds, it’s another sledge hammer to thumb tacks pito comparison metric, who needs to move a terabyte of info in 8 seconds? True.....theoretically but you still need a SSD that can handle it. My TB3 Sandisk PRO-G40 SSDs read at 2.8 GB/Sec. So, that's just under 6 mins to read 1 TB; not 25 secs. Of course, I'm not complaining -- that's plenty fast for me!! an M.2 ssd can theoretically transfer up to 20gigs a second with maximum lanes on pcie buses, thats 50 seconds for a Terabyte lol, so the idea of moving 120gbps is just silly and shows the TB5 to be a marketing thing at this point unless you are multi-transferring a metric shit ton in imagination land..., of course I could i'm missing something? Also, my 2011 mac pro with m.2's moves at 7,500mbps instant access to everything like a tv channel, a lot of hyperbole around this stuff, you can't get faster than instant human perception, paying big $ for undetectable minutia is a choice i suppose🤷🏻♂️

Anyone know how many gigaflops an M4 studio does, and what you need to connect to a bunch of Avid HD I/o's
I'm way overdue (12 years) on an update
