Hi all. For the S2, it is in place if the switch is to the right. When the switch is to the left, it is bypassed. Thanks Ben Thanks!

One last question for Ben or anyone else…hoping for a recommendation for a reputable company that makes a longer cable with a black Tuchel connector that would be compatible?

You're not going to be able to change the connector. The XLR is a bit tight for my liking but the mic sounds great. I just got in the habit now of moving the power supply around with the mic.he may have gone with a shorter cable to minimize noise.

I read a lot of them were tight but mine seems just fine.

Hi all. For the S2, it is in place if the switch is to the right. When the switch is to the left, it is bypassed. Thanks Ben Well, I just realized I have been using my B67-269 with the S2 bypassed. I’ve got to do some more tests with it in place. I think it’s suits my voice, a little better, since my voice is so rich in the low mids.

I read a lot of them were tight but mine seems just fine. Redco made me a replacement cable for my M147. I’m sure they could do the same for a BU67 as long as they had all the pertinent information. The 269 pair I use at my friend’s place has a custom stereo PSU and long cables. Anything’s possible.

So, did a real quick test today and I'm very impressed with this mic. A little song idea attached, these are unpracticed first passes with no warmup and a little hungover , so please be gentle! I have an extremely sibilant voice (messed up teeth) and I've tried everything, all the tricks, positioning, different mics, etc. While I can get it passable by the end of the mix, it's never this good to start with. This mic is the best I have ever heard it be on a bare track with no d/s. This was a huge reason for looking at a 67 style mic in the first place. This is not scientific by any means, no time spent positioning the mic properly, just get a quick level and point and shoot. I'm probably about 6 inches off for vox and maybe a foot or slightly more on the acoustic (pointed where the next meets the body). Here's my chain for both...WT72, DComp for mild saturation only (no comp), in fact no compression at all on the acoustic but I did engage my ELOP+ on the vocal (3-5db reduction at most), then to the Audioscape EQP's but no EQ engaged....just passing audio through them, and finally to the Burl B2 Bomber (wide open, no attenuation) which is my ADC. In the DAW only some low cut on both, a very mild touch of master bus compression, oh and Seventh Heaven verb on both. Anyway, hoping it may help someone decide to buy the mic because for virtually bare tracks with no real setup I am extremely impressed! Looking forward to trying with my API 3122 as well, and trying all the different mic settings...but no time today. Excellent work Ben!!! PS. Mic is set to old 67 with the S2 bypassed.

Thank you for that sir - the track and musicality are great and the mic sounds fine with sibilance a non-issue for mine. Cheers, Ross

Thanks y’all! …and so happy the sibilance has finally been dealt with before hitting the box. Had an artist in today in the vein of Colter Wall to do some scratch tracks (in prep for production), the B67 with the WT72 sounded phenomenal together again, on both his vocal and guitar…really organic sound, even though his guitar was much brighter and thinner sounding than my J45 live, it still came across rich and full recorded…oh what it does to the high end is a thing of beauty…This thing is a keeper for sure, and at a quarter the price of a 67RI, ya can’t go wrong! (I now understand why 67’s are considered such work horses)

Hi All. Just a quick note regarding the tight connector, this was fixed a few months back. All now plug and play really nicely!
Cheers

Yup, now I know how to use the S2 switch. Big difference on my voice. I really need it in the circuit or I get a ton of mud.

And if Ben is checking this out, I would gladly have paid a higher price tag for a longer mic cable with Tuchel connector and a brief description including the dip switch settings (something like Audioscape provides). Clearly Ben pays close attention to customer feedback since he’s now including the 47 style mount…love it! Hi there. You can absolutely use any IEC power cord to connect your mic. Just be sure to switch the rear of the psu to 115v to make it suitable for Canada. So sorry we don’t supply the cord, there are reasons as to why which involve each country’s regulatory authorities (they all have different requirements) We have a page on the website that explains how to use the switches. beesneezproaudio.com/product/classic-b67-269-version-2/Press the tab that says “internal switching” and all is explained there. Let us know how you go! Glad you like the mount. Cheers Ben Hey Ben what about the switches on the version 1. I did not see a description of those on your website. Thanks.

Hi All. Just a quick note regarding the tight connector, this was fixed a few months back. All now plug and play really nicely! Cheers Ben That's great news for new buyers but I already have two. Maybe they will loosen up a little over tine? I still can't push the connector in far enough to have the lock engage. Small issues but annoying. BTW, I tracked upright piano yesterday and the B67 sounded great as a stereo pair. Almost no EQ needed. Just sounded perfect and the piano is the focus of the song.
