UA has committed to slowing building spark, so if you bought u11( a screaming deal), you will eventually benefit by also receiving uadx versions of whatever is ported to spark. Oh so does that mean that any UAD plug-in you have purchased you’ll get the spark version for no monthly charge? |

Automagically, and they get placed in your daw in a new uadx subfolder, separate from your uad2 plugs.
So, if you buy U11, you’d also have the complete current spark collection, uadx, running natively, to save your ua dsp for uad2.

Awesome. Well I just pulled the trigger and purchased the Ultimate 11 package. Pretty much a no-brainer since I have an octo card already. Ooo boy!  |

I ended up just getting the BX20. Broke out the Distressor again after not using it much in ages to see how I felt about it compared to the LA2A. Definitely favor the Distressor on vocal tracks and all busses. It does a phenomenal job of getting all the dynamics even while making stuff sound bigger and fuller without making me feel like it overdid the compression. Much smoother than the LA2A too. I'm gonna use it in this manner going forward on most all sessions. The BX20 sits way better in the mix than the 480, 224, Capitol, Hitsville, SHP, SP2016, and Transatlantic while also being able to sound big and spacious. It's extremely underrated. When I went back and checked Gearspace about it, everyone was raving and saying it was a monumental accomplishment. Nowadays no one ever mentions it. I put it on everything. Sure, I'd like to have done the six bundle, but now we have the Massenberg, and the Sontec, and Big Sky, and probably more than a dozen other things popping up. It'd be easy to drop a grand just trying to score all these game-changing plugins before the sales end.
