Probably 3-6 months, but I suggest sending an email to Stam Audio. It was worth the wait.

Be patient, we'll eventually we'll get the SA67 and the Reissue in the same room, but I was glad to get a preview of how they might compare, and thought to pass it along. Looking forward to this! How long is the wait to get one of these after you order? Probably a year or more. And I don’t mean that as a dig or anything. That’s just been my wait time with every piece. Still waiting on my SA4000 MKII to ship, even after getting a tracking number.

I forget who said “wow, DHL is fast” but the tracking info for my 67 hasn’t been updated in a week, when I go to track my shipment. Customs?

Hmm.. that's strange, mine was 3 days earlier than the promised delivery date. Try calling them if you can.

I got my tracking number two weeks ago, but it was just a shipping reservation with DHL. I have a feeling that they are still making these mics, though. So once yours or mine is done and dropped off, we'll see the shipping status updated. Fingers crossed for this theory, at least.

Sorry to link to that "other" place but there are a couple of decent reviews from the last few days.

Crossing borders means dealing with civil servants in customs agencies, and they have been running on skeleton crews. It's not easy for them. Some of them have to work up to 2 hours a day now! Be patient.

Now, now , now, at least here in Canada, they are all working from home indefinitely. If anything, now , way more efficient, not wasting time on endless internal meetings, to plan planning and discuss draft action plans for other planning efficiencies related to time management band resource allocation for developing options for strategic planning post the next currently delayed findings of the evaluative audit of a system that has already been EOL for 5 years anyway!

Be patient. I hate the term “plandemic.” While I know most of the country didn’t get hit nearly as bad as expected or predicted, it has been a sh#t show in NY. This disease ravaged people I know and was close to, with at least a dozen friends and family dead and even more infected and extremely sick. I’m not going to talk politics or preach from my soap box. I have a tremendous amount of respect for you and so many people here, but please know this pandemic really hit certain areas very badly and I am so glad many of you did not have to go through what we did here in the NY tri-state area.

Very diplomatic Vincent.
Covid 19’s exponential rate of possible infection and asymptomatic carrying characteristics are nothing to take lightly.
Sorry for your losses.

I typically use the Dizengoff D4 with my SA67. The D4 is a clone of the Abbey Road REDD preamp design. So I figured that should be a good fit with a 67, considering half the Beatles LP's and some Pink Floyd albums were done that way. It sounded really good to me, and I placed the SA67 somewhere between the reissue and the vintage models tonally, which is quite cool actually.
But then I tried it with the SA73, (a Neve 1073 clone), and let me tell you, if you want this thing to sound like the vintage 67, just switch to a Neve style preamp, and there it is, the real deal.

Not meant to be insensitive to anyone's loss. Just using a common term now which points to the lack of preparation and apparent nefarious aspects of the 'solution' to the problem that have created more problems... and shipping is one of them that is affecting all of us!

Here in Austin, we just had the highest number of weekly new cases since the whole pandemic started back in March. The second wave is coming and it will likely be worse than the first because people are getting complacent about the guidelines or just outright flaunting them. We should have stayed shutdown for longer. We're likely just going to end up squandering all of the gains made since March and end up right back where we started.

Sorry to hear this. IMHO this a partly dependent on Region, and in any event some Common Sense. Chris

What preamp will you be using with it Peter?
Let us know how you like it.
GHL often arrives earlier than their scheduled delivery date.

Now THAT should be very cool. I can't wait to see what preamps work best for you. After trying the SA67 with Dizengoff D4 and then the Stam SA73, I think that matching the preamp to this mic is important. I misjudged the sound until I tried it with the SA73. With the SA73 it sounds vintage, with the D4 it sounds somewhere between the vintage and the reissue.

I did a session vocal with my U87ai recently through my Dan Alexander. I have never loved the sound of my U87ai as much as hearing it through that Neve goodness. It literally beat out my usual Demeter VTMP setup.

Interesting Vincent. I'd love to try a few other preamps, just to see. Maybe further down the road when the covid crisis passes.
