Great news Shakermaker! It's a fantasy of mine to have a real tracking room and to me the ultimate luxury would be 2 67's just for overheads.

I just hope Josh ships mine before the post office collapses and the world results in trading gold for services. I want my smooth-silky yet crisp SA67 microphone tones to ride out the apocalypse..

Hoping mine ships: after I paid my invoice I got an email about tubes, to which I replied, but no word back when I inquired twice about whether I’d get another invoice for the tube. I pre-ordered in the last days of ‘17, way back in the old world days. Fingers crossed but no tracking yet.

Got these two bad boys today. Build quality is top notch as to be expected... Gonna rec some demo tracks to post tonight... After the 30 mins of setting them both up for a little accoustic session, jaw on the floor good. I don't own a real 67 to put it against (anyone in the toronto area that has one and wants to shout out post virus world?! lol) but these mics seem to suit my voice like nothing else. I have a couple other really nice mics and these just give a certain sound I've heard in my head for years. Amazing job... Josh is a genius and a hard working mo fo! Hats off to him and everyone at stam. Attachments:

Anxiously awaiting. I think it may be this week. Josh has his hands full though, so it's possible next week.

Also, that pic was taken before I set it up to test ... I always have to switch to 115v here in Canada

Hey Guys,
I don't visit forums much lately (very busy these days almost alone in the lab) but it's refreshing to see this type of feedback after all the hard work on these 67's. Hopefully more can chime in
Little fact: I have to sing the same line in the same position into every single 67 I make to match it vs the original. The girls from customer service close the door as they are sick and tired of hearing me sing the same line dozens of time daily. Every single tube sounds different on this circuit, even from the same brand. This circuit is very sensible to it. Probably more than any other mic.
This is the only way to make them and how I have made every Stam mic since the beginning. It's a meticulous, slow and sometimes tedious job but it gives me confidence that I did the best job I could and I sleep well at night!

It is great for me to hear you say this Josh as that has always been my personal experience and conclusion I've come to through the years having tried multiples of the same mic, even from the same lot and usually finding small to noticeable differences in most all of them. So on a tube mic especially, I really appreciate your attention to detail of putting the time in to personally test each one to make sure they match before they go out the door caring as much about your art as we do ours. Thanks very much and keep up the good work!.....I am really looking forward to my SA67!

Wouldn't placing the mics in front of a speaker and doing a sine-sweep to visualize each mic's response be faster and more accurate?

You are correct The response is extremely similar when doing so and that is the first thing I do After you sing it's not, it's similar but not quite the same. This is where a final adjustment is made and I manage to match them Thanks for your comment!
