I saw an interview with him recently and he did not impress me with his professionalism. He seemed a bit slow and goofy, like an old stoner. And I get it, I'm from the state he was once governor of....and i'm a bit of an old burnout myself.

I've got an empty 1x12" cab that I plan on using as an iso cab outside of my live room. The amps I use the most are a dripedge bandmaster reverb, 65 ampeg gemini g12, and an ac15. all are less than 50watts at 8ohms. what should I stick in there?

If limited to just two types of snare drums, I would want one snare like a supraphonic for that ringing overtone they're known for and also want a wooden snare for the opposite effect(super dry).

I'm happy that Logic includes a free controller app for mobile devices. I've used neyrinck for years, but I'm not into the subscription model at all.

I use a desktop stand for my kick micing. It's small and doesn't have a huge base so placement is easier.
I was also lucky enough to come across 3 atlas booms on craigslist a couple years back for $150. If you're live in a market with lots of musicians, you're can find quite a few deals on craigslist.

I just bought a pair of those countryman di for this purpose.
Is the power soak necessary, or just added benefit? Or is it acting as your speaker load?

I have been using amp sims (sgear, logic) a lot lately and have read quite a bit about using impulse responses in a convo reverb as my speaker cab sim.
do you guys do this, and if so, where should I begin?

And when that antelope starts acting funny, it won't be nearly as easy to repair. Once I found capi vp28, i realized it's the foundation of my drum recording chain.

I use a 2.6ghz 2012 mac mini with 16gb ram and a motu 16a. I regularly run 18 tracks at 96khz at 128 buffer with no problems during record or playback.

He's a talented artist.
But that ridiculous ego just negates so much of what he does. It's impossible for me to like any artist (or person) that puts themself on a pedestal looking down at everyone else.

I'm hearing a reso head that's not tuned right. I would try and reduce the resonance with tuning and/or gaffers tape. Floor toms drive me bonkers with that stuff.
