Does a high efficiency water heater count? Picked up an Ampeg SVT15e cab for the V4-B Oh, man! That's an awesome amp. I have an anniversary V4-B and matching 6x10 cab from 2005-ish. It's bonkers good! Yeah, I love my 71-73 V4-B. It was my first real bass amp. The V-2 4x12 cab that I have is a bit much for practicing at home. Realized I play more when I can easily plug in.

I think the hardest thing to figure out is how many lines you need in each rack.
If you do it by rackspace alone you will be short if you switch over to say 500 series or multi-channel units.
I have learned to keep it in sets of 24 and just be okay with having extra unused lines going to each rack. I am using e90 elco bays. I made the mistake originally of using different size multi pair cables to each e90 connection depending on the equipment that I had on hand. That has proven to be a bad long-term decision.
I would account for 4 channels per 1u to be safe. This will cover 500 series and most multi channel units. Also give your self 1.5x the rack height on your multipair breakouts.

It has a similar frequency response to the 3U Warbler. Made me wonder if they were using 3U to make the capsules. The capsules look identical. You can be them cheaper from 3u. Another option is to wait a bit for the next GroupDIY order of 84 kits, where you'll be able to source whatever transformer you want. The banzai diy 84 kits sound great, they also have good off axis response. Have not compared then to originals though.

Anyone using one of these lately? I’m thinking about bailing on the wait for the Stam SA-23a+ and getting one of these kits. Just want a good, versatile opto comp. I have one... I use it a good bit... It is not my LA2a clone or my LA4. It is a good comp, but does not add a specific thing. At least I have not really found it's specific sonic stamp. I have been meaning to do a comparison with the same content to both it and the LA2A.

Built a couple tiny pultecs today I have gone to order a pair so often, and have never pulled the trigger.

Anyone have any opinions on the K sweet cymbals for studio use? They seemed really nice to me in all the videos I watched. Any real life experiences out there?

Is the DI selected via switching Jack?
I have a preference for DI switches, so gear can be left patched in, but switched easily. Not that plugging and unplugging cables is hard, but then they are left to dangle!
What price are we looking at here?
Layout looks great. Maybe insert the low cut freq in the step positions.

I bought a hex core trashcan to replace the 2014 mac mini I was using. It has been rock solid. I can track on a 64 sample buffer at 96k, no issues up to about 16 tracks. It's got TB2, and is quieter then the external HDD enclosure.

I’m definitely going to demo. It very well could be one of those things where it takes longer to program than to play. But the video said it only takes a few clicks!😆

Did you receive the Shape 65's yet?
I have been very happy with my Twin Shapes. Seem to translate very well from my room.

I was in this position last year... I had just finished a project were my mini was not keeping up, and forget about mixing for video.
I ended up with a 3.6ghz Hex Core trash can. It has been rock solid since getting it. I can actually track at 64 buffer @ 96k. I built a rack mount for it and its quieter then the mini ever was.

I bought a pedal the SamAsh was selling on Reverb... They refunded because they could not open the store to ship it.

Costco had a HM copy for $125... unfortunately I don't remember the name. I believe we had a thread about it a while ago. Great chair. Arm rests fold back out of the way when needed. I will never use a "leather" chair for recording again, mesh suspension is the way to go.

Unless you are willing to spend good money they are all just outlets.
At one time I opened a high end Panamax unit and it was comprised of Furman, CyberPower, and Panamax PCB's. Remember they are all made in the same factory or one company owns all the competing brands in the different markets.

My 3a clones are parked on acgtr. I have a Laz and a Gap. Thought about changing the T4B cell... And that's it. I like the grit/sparkle the GAP adds. My Urei LA4 is on bass or guitar.

So... Unfortunately the mic was not as perfect as I hoped. Apparently the seller botched the built and had Chris over at Barbaric repair and test it. The builder made a critical error and did not protect the capsule while soldering, so the Thiersch Red line has 4 flux blobs on it. Trying to work it out... Seller has been good, but not too forthcoming with all the info behind the build.
Note to self... Get pictures of the capsule on diy builds!

Got the new cable installed! All my aux sends now work. IDC connector MSC34A-ND, 89134-0001 Cable - MC34G, connectors spaced 6.5" center to center. This has to be processed through the custom order dept. They were great to work with. Pricing made it silly to do it my self. 1 day turnaround once I had everything figured out. Erm, don't you mean "6.5mm" (millimeters) not "6.5" " (inches)? The connector is a 1mm pitch, but you need 6.5" between connectors.
