Why did they cease production? I'm not quite shure!

I haven't ever to my memory posted negatively about any subject that has come up on the forum, but feel my bile rising after reading the quote that Quint posted concerning the the Stam offer, which reads..."...a 50% discount on ANY FUTURE ORDER from Stam Audio" (capitalization mine) . The comeback of "We certainly did not plan to have a client show up 5 years down the line to claim a 50% off" is not even close to cool by any stretch of the imagination. You created the open ended invitation but now seem unwilling to put those words into action. Your word is your honor and no amount of back peddling about intent can change the defined offer that you originally offered. Your words were explicit, susinct and simple. It wasn't a misprint. You need to honor your offer because and only because you were the one that left it completely open ended. Mean what you say and say what you mean,do it clean or those around you will vent their spleen.

I would use mic 1 on the guitar and mic 2 on the vocal. Overall, I like the warmth of the Heiserman and it would be my first choice.

I thought that reverb was a medicinal herb found only between 1500 and approximately 2100 meters in the northern facing French Alp region. It is used as a poultice to treat insect stings and snake bites.

I grabbed it but have yet to install it. I have an older free Tan equalizer that I use that is pretty great sounding.

I installed an LR Baggs Anthem into my D-18 and bought a red Meinel tambourine. It took a few to dial in a balance between the transducer and mic of the Anthem, but now I'm happy with what I'm hearing.

Madison Cunningham sleeps around with other microphone companies! And this one is American. Are you intimating that Madison is a gear slut?

I guess it's the sound of lots of Russian caviar and a large dollop of schmaltz as the secret sauce. probably no more than an American mic is the sound of a cheeseburger and an ice-cold Budweiser. Absolutely, you totally nailed it! That Heiserman has that fat, juicy bottom, a distinct middle layer that with the wonderful brisk, foamy and crisp high end. TOMW, you're a genious!

One of my favorite stories Is from my friend (who I’m sure many of you know) who for many years managed one of our favorite studios in Manhattan. She recalled one day looking at one of the security monitors in the office to notice the lead singer of Dexys midnight runners trying to escape with a stack of 2” tapes without paying his bill.. She ran out into the street, chased him and tackled him. Her description of the tapes unraveling down 8th street (😉) has stuck with me ever since 😂😂😂 Dexy tried a runner.

Holyyyyy Shiiiite. This thing is freaking fantastic. I initially thought I might upgrade the tube, but I'm not touching this thing. Touch the tube, loose a finger . I can't imagine you sounding any better, any way.

That's exactly why I did a bit of Sherlock on the matter. My memory is failing me. If you think that you're the only one that...I just plum forgot what I was going to say!

Janis Ian’s “Breaking Silence” is a no compression, limiting or EQ release. Jeff Balding as P/E/M I believe that it was just on her vocal tracks that there was no compression, limiting or eq, at least on the way in. All tracks were recorded at Nightingale Studio on a Studer 820, 24-track machine, 30 IPS, non-dolby, at the elevation of +6/250 nu using Ampex 499 tape. Included among the mics used on the recording dates were: Nuemann M-49, AKG C-12, Telefunken 251, Sheffield C-9 and a custom built tube direct box on the bass. Janis' vocal was recorded using a Telefunken U-47 and a Mastering Lab mic preamp, linked with series-one Monster Cable direct to the back of the multi-track machine with no EQ or Limiting.

An RE-20 is also good in a pinch on an acoustic guitar.
