Seems ol Mr Gilmore is culling the heard on some of his guitars, though I doubt anyone that can afford these babies will actually use them for musical purposes....

I was actually lucky enough to hold that exact guitar (the first serialized strat) in my hands @ David's house, way back in July 1983.
As well as the original Penguin, which at the time was still wrapped in plastic, with the tags and info sheet hangin off the pegs!
This is when he lived in Alvin Lee's old place, at that time called...Hook End Manor.
Later became "Sarm Studio"
Man, what a week that was....the stories....
