$14.09 shipping to Massachusetts. If you order two, $14.33.. Regardless the price is 40% off what it costs at SW. If you're grabbing one, I'll grab the second. Let me know. If y'all figure out how to get one shipped to the US, let me know. I couldn't get it to ship to the US.

I think If I was going to buy - I'd probably get two, which reminds me to start another thread I’ll bet we see a similar deal from US dealers soon. So it begs the question. How much of the difference in price between a $300 (potentially, $500 right now) KT-2a and a $900 WA-2a comes down to a difference in parts/sound quality versus the margin Warm Audio desires/is willing to accept and the smaller margin KT/Behringer is obviously willing and able to accept through sheer volume? If the real world reviews of the Pultec clones from both companies are any indication, the KT doesn't exactly lose to the WA and, in some people's opinions, actually wins. I've read similar opinions about the 1176 clones from both companies and I'm also starting to read similar opinions about the 2a clones from both companies. I realize that, on paper, the WA units are supposed to be better than the the KT units, but real world reviews seem to dispute that to a fair degree, at least when it comes down to sound. So how much of this comes down to desired (or achievable) profit margins and how much of this simply comes down to sound quality? Parts and profit margin aside, it doesn't exactly seem very clear cut that Warm Audio necessarily is "better" than KT when it comes down to sound quality.

Tough to say without having them both in front of you. Warm isn't known for much margin and they're paying for CineMag iron too. The only ones I've compared extensively are the 1176s. They sounded pretty similar, with the Warm having a little more low mid weight and a little smoother high mids. It gave the impression of the KT being a little leaner and brighter. Though on some things that may be just what you want. The KT was also a tad noisier. I preferred the Warms overall but I would have no issue using the KT if the Warms weren't available. I also like that I can email Bryce (Warm) directly and he bends over backwards to keep customers happy. The KT stuff has great warranties I think, it's just more of a corporate, "talk to your dealer" situation. The Pultec stuff I didn't have at the same time. Had a pair of the Warms a couple years ago and tried out a pair of the KT's a few months ago. I liked both and would need to be able to really put them side by side to flesh out an actual opinion.

Having owned a wa76 and a kt1176. I liked the kt model more. If felt solid the metering was right, less noise, great feeling knobs, better power supply (no wall warts a thought i think wa76 has fixed that up now with v2) and i was getting some distortion with the wa76. Pot got scratchy on the wa76. Results sounded very similar ut from memory i think one of them was slightly hotter in output then the other. These were all very s,all differences though.
