For what it's worth, I've had the WA76, Mohog and Urei's in here various times and they all sound great to me. Small(ish) variants of the same classic vibe.
The ones I've settled on are a pair of WA76. I think they're awesome units and every bit as classic 1176 as anything else.

I built the hairball blackface model a few years ago. We have 2 of the UA Classics 1176 at the studio and I think the hairball blows it out of the water. It's much closer to the original units that I've used...

What a tiny PCB for a 1176, when's the 500 series version coming! Why?

Maybe Uli couldn't get over the fact that everyone on this planet has copied the 1176 but him.

slightly off topic, but I see their EQP is pretty much at the same price point as Warm's too...

They are probably made in the same factory in China.

We need more Rev AB clones and more LA3a clones available to us. And not Chinese junk... (quality control and parts content, don't care whose hands make them). Quality built stuff too.

Ward did you ever shoot out the *hairball rev a with your pro replica blue stripe? Don't you have the real NOS transformers in yours?

Ward did you ever shoot out the hair all rev a with your pro replica blue stripe? Don't you have the real NOS transformers in yours? I've have yet to do the shoot-out because I am a slack-ass at some things some times. And I have a whole backlog of things like that which I need to do. And yes, I have the real NOZ transformers in mine.

Hmm, KT has a pretty good reputation for live duties, and i doubt Behringer wants to ruin it. Same with Midas. They already went thru this with swissonic, it was a quality brand that somehow went downhill with some products that did not reach the quality of the brands previous products. This was pretty disappointing. I don't think they want to go this path again...

Been using my KT1176 for a while. Compared it to my UA1176 and it was close enough to be interchangeable. Also recently got the EQP kt and loved it so I sold my A designs EM PEQ500.

So any reports on it yet? So far, so good. I tested it out against one of my WA76's with a vocal track. The KT seems to be a little more open on top and bottom and the WA sounds just a touch rolled off. Really splitting hairs though. Build quality feels solid. Knobs and switches feel better than the Warm plus it doesn't have that PITA line lump thing. I wish I had a vintage unit here to test against (anyone want to send me one? ). If I could flip my Warms, buy a couple more KT's, and pocket a couple bucks, I'd probably do that, but there isn't enough of a price difference between my used Warms and the KT's to make it worth the hassle. The difference in the units isn't really enough to justify switching things up either.
