Process audio Decibel metering . Just for the fact you can have the meters on an iPad or other device always showing and not taking up Daw screen space . Too pricey, but goes on sale often process.audio/en/products/decibel

I'll second the Lynx Aurora N. It just enables me to get better and better. Even just plugging a K701 into its headphone jack enables me to make stuff that translates onto anemic cheap speakers or the car stereo. I don't even use VSX anymore for the most part. Take that for what it's worth. The one issue I have with it is occasional crackling with using hardware inserts in Pro Tools HD over USB on Windows. When committing the file. Others have had the issue too. When I've emailed with Paul from Lynx about it, we haven't exactly figured out the source. The only plugin I'm inserting before the hardware insert is Maat LinPro. Nothing after usually. Some days I get no crackles and other days seemingly every committed file has one somewhere. This is at 96k with it set to safe and 2048. The manual doesn't really detail what safe, extra safe, and these usb streaming mode settings mean and so far I haven't found a great explanation of them. The Hilo manual has a section about them though. The Aurora N also is tremendous just to listen to music on and I've heard dozens of more expensive headphone listening systems at various conventions over the years. Wow I’m getting that crackling on my Lynx n32 with hardware inserts . I’m on a Mac Studio thunderbolt . I have 44.1 , 48, and 88.1 sessions and get this crackling intermittent

I’m so confused with this UA stuff…now I see a pick two for $99. Which all I really need is capitol comp and maybe one more and I could cancel spark. Guess it’s cool to have the Leslie and a couple others…but I honestly never use them. I guess that’s probably the best deal for me considering I have the large majority of what’s in the producer packs. The new Sound City reverb is one of the picks . Probably worth the 2for 99 for that alone

I just built half round traps filled with rock wool. Used 12” diameter cement forms cut in half length wise . Sealed them in a old bed sheet to keep particles in , then covered with Burlap They did a great job of controlling bass in my small room .

Yes I have used it and way prefer it over the Lindell neve The preamp section has a lot more tonal options than the Lindell and saturation is smooth. the comp has some nice weight to it and really nice when driven . The eq is nice sounds like iwhat you’d expect . You can also rearrange the order of the moduals. The developer I believe is Japanese and for the money both his plugins are stupid good .imo He other plugin is a compressor. I bought it also , haven’t really got into it yet but the tracks I have tried it on it stayed there

Thought this was worth reposting. Neve Chanel strip 19.90$ www.voosteq.com/model-n-channel/Preamp Section Modeling of vintage 70's units to recently released units. Compressor Section This is a feedback type compressor modeled after two vintage British 70's units. THD, frequency response, etc. change organically and automatically according to the input signal and the amount of reduction. Equalizer Section This is a modeling of three equalizers, including vintage 70's units to recently released units. Not only the frequency response of each EQ, but also the distortion and texture are modeled. Analog Flavor Switches between sounds that simulate transformers and analog circuits. In addition to frequency response, it also simulates a comped feel and texture.

What will the ARA do with Izotope? Will be able to use all RX plugins without audiosuite or rx connect. Not a major thing , but convenient. But agree I’ve cancelled support plan three months ago . I can’t even imagine that I need any more features .

Only kinda nice upgrade I know coming is ARA support for izotope. Not essential, but nice addition to PT. Not saying that’s worth the 200$ renewal. does ARA have to run under rosetta for pro tools? Does in Logic. No Melodyne runs ARA Pro Tools native and Rosetta ARA izotope is supposed to be coming

Which one is the one the Carson guy from NE did? And I just don’t know if I even know how to judge eq’s. Either they sound good and accomplish the task or they don’t. Carson is behind the MH Sontec
