I have a pcm91 that has a scratchy input gain knob, it’s annoying to the point that I need it repaired.

Maybe try to clean it yourself first. Simple job. Just get a can of deoxit D5. Unless the resistive element is bad, it's a two minute fix.

+1 on Beamish electronics. They serviced my Eventide H3000 did a great job and fast , reasonable.
