:-D Solid hardware. Lasts decades. Steampunk, you can show it, just say it's art.

I really don't know why someone would wait. There are SO many perfectly good converters in the world--you (collectively) likely own them already. Errm, he has my money. What choice do I have?

It's worth the wait. I ordered the Rotary Super Beast Converter. It took 6 years but it was worth the wait. I keep it in my basement because it's pretty ugly. Nice!LOL

Can you ask for a refund? Still, after waiting all this time, you probably figure it should come soon. After six months, I think you deserve an explanation and an apology. I can see 2-3 months wait for a pre-order, but as a regular turnaround time, something's fishy, and six months, that's outstandingly bad, actually shocking.

Yeah, does he return phone calls? If not, I'd simply cancel the charge. But, then I"m not much for buying gear I've never used. No send me one to eval? You're not interested in my buying it. I can't stand the whole buying a bunch of things...selling a bunch of things--even if it financially works out OK, what a PIA. But, I get some of you guys like buying and selling gear--I've made peace with that paradigm.

What's the latest? Anyone gotten theirs? It'll be 4 weeks tomorrow since I placed my order. I was told 4 weeks when I initially paid.
The thing is, I wonder if I should just pull the plug on this. I know some of you guys have been waiting over 6 months. I think Paypal gives you 45 days of protection, just in case these guys are iffy about giving me a refund.

You will not get yours in 4 weeks. Get that thought out of your head. haha
I still don't have mine. I was told 3 weeks, many many weeks ago.

Yeah, I definitely knew that going in. I guess I'm just second guessing this decision in the first place. I mean, it'd be one thing if EVENTUALLY people started getting theirs, but this kinda has red flags all over it. I don't know. I'm kinda leaning towards asking for a refund before my 45 days are up.
What's the support like? Say something goes wrong with the converter in 6 months. Am I out of luck or is he good about standing behind the product?

Yeah I did. That was for my AD Converter. he was great with that. I sent it to him and he took about 3-4 weeks to repair.
Above I was referring to my Superbeast that I ordered in June. I really would like to get my Superbeast.Luckily im still ok for a DAC now. Still have my Dangerous Source. So im not too concerned about the wait. At least I know he will send it.

Been thinking about getting the PCM4222EVM myself. Seems pretty cheap of a build.

Well, let me build one right quick and then I'll decide how far to go with a product. First thing would be to do a layout that incorporates only the necessary things and to make it easier to build for someone. The EVM is a bit overpriced for what you get, but it is indeed handy to have.

Seems like some folks have complained about the 1632 opamp for some reason. Would you folks want that one or something else?

They are U4 and U5 on the EVM schematic. the OPA1632 differential opamps. Just looking around some folks grumble about them being lacking, while others love em. If I were to do a layout it wouldn't matter to me which one goes on the board honestly.
