With the faster release, I think this outshines the Retro. Probably not getting an invite to the Christmas party...They are different a bit though - my preference is the AS though. Line I mentioned the faster release and I don't think it's quiiiite as colored as the retro. And don't take that the wrong way - it's still plenty colored...but it seems to trim the flub a bit. That being said, I don't have them both here to compare. The thing is, who cares? This thing should stand on its own merits.  John. Man. Words can't describe! THANK YOU for an informed consensus on the V-COMP... Your sentiments exactly match ours, and others who own the V-Comp. The differences you're hearing (and happily, preferring) are all part of the V-COMP being "our take" on this classic circuit. Never was huge on the overly "tubby" nature of some of the others out there. The V takes this absolutely classic design, and tweaks it to be more usable for more "modern" productions, while still leaving intact all of the awesome tone and vintage "allure" that this circuit exudes... |

So who is going for a V Comp tonight. I plan on giving it a try to add to my 76A and Bus Comp.

Im torn. I want a 76A which I think comes in stock..next week or so. But I want one of these too. Not sure I can swing both though so soon.

Even the demo tracks sound good. We will see how i feel this evening on dropping 1400 on a compressor vs some other stuff for now. |

But like stated, the compressor will last decades with some basic maintenance. A damn computer will be hard pressed to make it 10 years at all. Sucks. |

FET, VCA and hopefully, some GOOEY vari-mu action! Thanks for all the amazing words, as always guys!! As for 76A stock, the cases OFFICIALLY arrive on Wednesday! So we're hoping to have some built-up and listed near the end of the week! Buss Comp's will also be back in stock soon; after all this V-COMP madness.... Hope anyone who graces the AMAZING RGO Forum gets one! If I haven't said it already; below is what customers told us they've done to have the best shot at snagging a unit during these "OFFICIAL RELEASE" Sales! EDIT: NEXT TIME! ;-)
NOTE: DO NOT FRET if you aren't able to get a V-COMP tonight!! Since interest in the "6386 EDITION" V-COMP has exceeded our expectations, we are working on a solution to offer them much more frequently than we had initially planned...
