CONGRATS! Thank you ever so much for your acquisition of your shiny new V-COMP! And.. NO. Thank YOU!! ;-) Hahahaha yeah I''d suggest holding off on sending in the final masters for that album.... you'll likely want to run all of the Bass GTR and Vocals through the V once it arrives! Mwhahaha...! geoff738 - sorry for the delays!! Unfortunately, as you know this is beyond our control but sounds like it's just waiting to be delivered to your door! Please report back once you and thirdeye have had some time with them!!! <3 Y'all are A_MAZ_ING! You seem like the kind of guy I want to do business with. Next time I have some funds, you're on the list. Thank you kind sir! ;-) AND to everyone else for all of the amazing comments, as always. AudioScape is here to stay - 2020 will be amazing - with many new product releases happening throughout the year as well as even more new development. Rock on everyone!!! As for the 4 aux / parallel compression you have set-up; that does sound interesting but I'm with John on this one - always had better luck using a number of compressors in serial rather than running compressors (hardware or plugs) in parallel BUT when parallel works, there's nothing that quite sounds and does what it..... well, DOES! Cheers all!! To all who own a V-COMP - it'll also double as a nice space heater during this colddddddd winter! Mwhahaha... ;-)

It is here. Finally. Chheers, Geoff WOOHOO!! Congrats! Now plug that sucker in, let her warm up for a bit (recommended around 30 mins but to be completely honest, it's "Goldie Locks" zone kicks in somewhere around the 3 to 4 hour mark) and REJOICE in gooooooooey variable-mu, tube based, vintage style leveling and COLORRRRR! Seriously. Try it. (the 4 hour thing)

And I'd have three more midrange EQs ordered right now if my corporate clients could only pay on time . . . but no, stretch the terms out to 90 days and squeeze the llittle guys. Ugh... Oops, did I say that out loud? Sorry

Oops, did I say that out loud? Sorry I can relate to this, as I am dealing with the same problem. It’s ok because they are just digging a deeper ditch, and I will be rewarded for it once the contract expires and they breached it.

OOPS! Sorry y'all - should have made the more clear, hahaha... at 8PM EST tomorrow is when the prices will officially change to $50 less and the batch of units we have ready goes live - as this is the time we always list new batches of products!
Our deepest apologies! Sometimes we take for granted just how scheduled and predictable our "regular listing time" is ;-)

Hey Guys!
How is everyone enjoying their v-comp? Anything new to report? I happened to see there was some V-COMP 6386 EDITIONs available and I grabbed the last one.
I just got a Stamchild and it sounds great, I'm wondering how they would work in serial ... or if its gonna be too ooooeee goooey? Need 1176!
cheers

The V Comp i think will have the ability to be a bit more aggressive and edgy then the stam child. So you could use the fast attack mod on the vcomp followed by the Stamchild on a slow attack and could produce some cool colors. Be the same idea sort of as an 1176 into an LA2A. That said, I don't have a Stamchild, want one, but haven't found myself able to pull the trigger.

Makes a better secret sauce than thousand islands salad dressing Also have a 6386 version The best Fairchild clone is coming soon from audioscape! And Audio-Scape's '76 Bluestripe is the best 76 asround for finishing off your vocal sound! Need a general purpose 76? Try the AudioScape 76 Rev F

I have the 6386 version and it is my permanent parallel comp for tracking vocals.
I always use that track blended in during mixing for body and a solid, meaty feel.
Also have a Sta-Level, and while I haven’t directly AB-ed, I’d happily turn to either for similar roles.

So . . . last night I was working with a very dynamic singer, and the chain was Neumann U67 reissue, Focusrite red 6, audioscape V-Comp and then the audioscape Bluestripe. And I slammed both comps. Just SLAMMED . . . (insert a reference to your memories of a high school cheerleader or football event here) Anyhow, not surprisingly, the results were absolutely beautiful! Just a testament to how amazing both these units are.
