The hype, price and quality is really starting to get me jonesing for some Audioscape gear but ....must....keep....walllet....closed.... hahahah ;-) Is that in order of awesomeness? LOL. It's OK man! Whenever you're ready; we're here for you! Not going anywhere; ANYTIME soon. Designs, Plans and most exciting, PROTOTYPES for future AS products are coming along VERY nicely! Currently have 3 different products in que (not counting the EQP!) We try to keep "hype" to a minimum on our side and just do our thing, our way. Our methods (and resulting quality) put us in uncharted waters (do we sound like a broken record yet? lol) for the price points we're selling these things for. It's truly an HONOR to have so many folks so HYPED about what we're doing! We are so very grateful and so very humbled by everyone's POSITIVE VIBES and amazing reception to the entire AS ecosystem!

I'm mixing a record now and about 3/4 through. I may have to go back and add the V Comp to the vocals though!!

Still not here dammit. The tracking seems to indicate it’s out of the airport, so I s’assumer it had passed customs. But maybe not.
So I continue to wait with anticipation.

Normally, the courier system would tell you if it has passed customs.

The exact wording is departed a transfer airport and the item is currently in transit to its destination. That sounds like it has passed customs but I recall buying something a few years back that I similarly though the wording meant it had passed through customs, but it hadn’t. In any event it ain’t here yet!

Hopefully it’ll get here soon.

Thank YOU!! ;-) Hahahaha yeah I''d suggest holding off on sending in the final masters for that album.... you'll likely want to run all of the Bass GTR and Vocals through the V once it arrives! Mwhahaha...! geoff738 - sorry for the delays!! Unfortunately, as you know this is beyond our control but sounds like it's just waiting to be delivered to your door! Please report back once you and thirdeye have had some time with them!!! <3 Y'all are A_MAZ_ING!

Did you get notification that it cleared customs, TO can be a real bottleneck due to the sheer volume .

Did you get notification that it cleared customs, TO can be a real bottleneck due to the sheer volume . Yeah went through customs and then a processing facility on Thurs. I thought that meant it would soon be on a truck, but got another passed through a processing facility a couple hours ago. At least that suggests it isn’t lost, but they could have it to me in fifteen minutes from the airport on a good day. Frustrating, but what can you do? Cheers, Geoff

This is a good example of why I have my Myusaddress. Supplier can ship to closest border city,in my case Ogdensburg, ny, 45 minutes away and I go pick and import myself.
Round trips are typically under 4 hours. if you get a CRA business number, say you are running a studio with an intention to make profit, you pay about 6-8% on import and no brokerage fee or hidden fee or for a reasonable fee Myusaddress will do that and ship to you: typically faster.

Well, guess who's running some vocals through a V Comp as I'm writing this?? This guy!! Such an upfront, commanding, rich sound.
The mixes I'm working on are pretty much finished. Just been holding off on final bounces until this arrived, to put a little icing on the cake. The vocal I have outputting into 3 auxes, each with it's own compressor on it (kinda CLA style). My initial idea was to run those 3 auxes through the V Comp. That turned out to be a little heavy handed, and not exactly what I was looking for. Instead, I added a 4th aux track and added the V Comp in parallel, and wow. Exactly the icing I was looking for. Added a richness that wasn't there before and locked the vocal in perfectly. So excited to get to know this thing!

I have my lead vocal track in Pro Tools directly outputting to a bus (using bus 33 for some reason). Then I have 4 aux track's inputs set to that same bus 33. Each aux has a hardware insert compressor on it. In this case aux 1 has an Audioscape 76A, aux 2 has a Distressor, aux 3 has a Drip LA2A, and aux 4 now has the V Comp. I blend the auxes to taste and output those 4 auxes directly to the same stereo input on our summing mixer (SSL Sigma). I could and have previously used a plug-in instead of the hardware insert when desired.

Man, that seems like a lot of work...I’ve tried that (digitally, though) and didn’t particularly feel like it was any better than serial comps...maybe I need to try again.

It's working for me on these mixes, but I don't always do it or need it. We have all our processing setup as hardware inserts (48 right now) on dedicated i/o, so no patching required. I will sometimes do serial comps as well, mostly when tracking though.
