Here are some lyrics off of the top of my soul...
I will take Jesus by the hand and though you don t understand Heaven isn’t a lifetime away It’s existence lies in the palm of your hand
Walk with me as Ive have crossed over Entwined in your soul I walk Bolder Time will heal and you will grow older but these memories of me Will forever be
I sat in the cold with your hand tight with mine and all we had was moments in time how can we exist, another moment as a man I was brought to the core politics and religion were out the door my knees have never been the same
as I barely breathed your love rushed over me and I prayed
years have passed but not a day goes by where my eyes failed to cry what has gone wrong…will soon be right
Every breath has a purpose Every heartbeat a soul my time here was brief but the dance must go on
Im free Free as the wind and rain Im free Im Free let go and be free with me Im free!

Being the resident utility player slash "master of none"...someone shoot me an email if there's a fill in the blank situation. bass...Egtr...Agtr...Hammond...EP...you don't want me caterwauling on anything...VSL strings? Ehh...anyway--it sounds like there's a lot of stuff going down. Let me know if anything come up lacking, and I'll see if I can fill in the blank.

Let me know if I can be of any help Herbie! You may have already played the drums Jesse Coutu!? But as I said, is there anything I can help with, I do it. Kind Regards Håkan Hansson drumrec I'd love it if youd do the drums. I was hoping you would. As soon as you get to it, you can e-mail them to me and I'll mix them in so the rest can be added. I'll keep posting an updated version as I get it mixed so others can add parts. Should work nicely. Thanks Hakan!!

As soon as I get the drums and bass mixed in, I'd love it if you'd do some Hammond on it Jamie and maybe some string stuff. The way I'm hearing it in the end is kinna ambient but not overly so. So pads of any kind will work nicely I think.

Since my mic is in rehab, I borrowed a pair, and got them all set up, did a quick test, and I'm ready to do the track tomorrow. I'm trying to anticipate the dynamics, imagining the drum fills, organ swells, guitar notes, so I'll go with understated, and leave room for everyone else. I have some really beautiful friends with very big hearts. I called my friend and told him I needed a mic, he said what for? I mentioned what we're doing, and he says, here take these, (and hands me two original K84's). Click on the photo, and it turns the right side up, why, I have no idea. The photo's on a funny angle, I'll be sure to get the left mic pointed around the 12h fret, but then I don't follow rules exactly, so who knows where they'll end up, I start there, and then move them around a little, listening for what sounds good. Don't mind the pj's, I gotta get all the cozy I can these days, I'm usually so busy. Attachments:

Got MJB's acoustic tracks pulled in. Hakan is going to send me the drum tracks tomorrow and I'll then post a new work mix for everyone to track around.

Here's an updated file with Acoustic and Drums. If I could get henge to do the bass, then I'll post another update so some lead stuff can be added. Thanks for doing this guys. It will mean so much to these folks. db.tt/IzEu6cyq

It will mean so much to these folks. db.tt/IzEu6cyqHi Brother! Now, dont get me wrong and think I want to be a smartass. I really want it to be as good as possible with Daniel's song and it feels natural and an honor to help! But, I thought the song would be rebuilt after the drums were recorded with solid foundation with bass and then the other instruments from there. So I did a little clip edits on the master file (as I wrote in your email herbie) where the tempo increased a little. But now when I listen to mix 2, it's the same backround and added guitar and the tempo gets pretty weird. So before several hang up their instruments, I think first that "Henge" adds bass to the drums (perhaps with new support piano / vocals) and builds from there. Otherwise the song become fragile as a house of cards. I'm really a humble person and just want it to be as good as possible, so do not perceive this as some smartass vibe, thanks Kind Regards /H.Hansson

This is a wonderful gesture in response to a parent's worst fear
Cowboy what's the eta ?
I ask cus i wrote a poem about the parent's feelings without having heard the lyrics and martin sent me the chord changes so i am going to write something in key and tempo but on acoustic in an alternate tuning
Might be way out in left field, but maybe it could fit somewhere or maybe a new song ?
What do you think ? Go for it ?
Thx !

You're right drumrec, it was a little tricky doing the guitar before the bass and drums, and I think I pushed the tempo a little at the end, like I might if playing live. I cam redo them if cowboy puts the drums and bass tracks together, I would actually prefer Drums, Bass and piano, that would give me a lot of breathing room in the acoustic guitar parts. That said, if there's enough there for cowboy to work with as is, I'm fine either way. I absolutely love how great the drums sound, beautiful work Hakan.

So....umm...did you watch that Lennon video posted recently or something...this isn't at 440, is it? If so, my ear is having some issues this morning....or my Hammond is spontaneously completely out of tune.
The tune is I-vi-IV-V....until the maj3 to min6 when it turns into vi-IV-I-V(III passing back to the 6)....in G....no? G-Em-C-D.....then a brief B7into Em-C-G-D....right?
Point out that I've yet to have to varispeed Cubase since switching...this used to be a simple turn varispeed until in tune....record. Return to original sample rate (speed). Done. Ooh...this will be interesting--if ASIO doesn't control the clock anymore (with the Burl here)...how does it even achieve varispeed? Hmm...it can't change the Burl's clock...regardless--if this doesn't fly quickly, I'll do some kind of string pad because I can tune digital stuff to match. Times like this I miss familiar hardware.

Color me officially f'n pissed at Steinberg for the first time in a decade. Quick Google says there's no way to varispeed other than getting a (hardware obviously) external clock with a variable control and slaving it. WOW.
I mean you can define the tempo of the audio track in the pool to use "tape" as it's time stretch...and change the TEMPO of the tune...and it will follow raising the pitch accordingly--but....then my Hammond's still out of tune, so I'd have to go in and define IT as musical only with an original tempo of whatever I had to increase it to and slow it down. Which simply becomes a weird workaround to doing the manual...pitch the track up 10 cents...play hammond...pitch hammond back down 10 cents...and tremolo like things NEVER pitch right.
Wow. It's times like this when I wonder how "advanced" workstations are.

Nevermind...Rich&Co are to blame...file's NOT out of tune....unless you clock the system from the Burl.
So, I'll do the Hammond...but, it'll have to be through the RME AD.
