I think I'm going to get a starling mini for the Jeep. Any word on how long the sale lasts? Ends December 8th

I picked up a pair of Samar MG33’s over the weekend, along with a $50 Sterling ST-31. I’m gonna try more condensers on drums!
Also some AKG K371 cans for the studio.
As a personal treat, an Empress Echostation delay pedal for my guitar board. I’ve got a Nemesis now but I want something with easier recall options.

I just bought a pair of Beesneez B87i mics. Planning on using those on overheads and swapping out my AT4050. Kind of a gamble if they will be any better, but worth a shot. I'm always chasing that perfect drum sound. :-) Did I need these mics? Of course not, but none of you would have tried to talk me out of it anyway.
Seriously, I plan to retire from my day job in a year and a half, so I want to get all the hardware I want now, while there is still money.

Avantone Gauss 7 monitors JBL Subwoofer
Figure that will be a nice combo for a second reference pair, and good for bands listening to playback in the room
Impulse bought a Silvertone 1303 Electric Guitar. At $159 new, why not?

I seem to have ordered a Neumann U87ai. Pretty sure I was supposed to wait until my dad's house sells and there's money in the bank, but... gear! I'm making a new record, my studio is sounding good, so the mic will have a happy home even if it has to eat ramen for a few months.

Well you could have bought my dad's vintage U87, like 6 hours ago. But he noticed a bad contact with the swivel mount, so we're having it checked before selling it.

I often want to scream at the other guy for freely squandering money as if I were rich. But then, when I'm using the gear, I thank him. It isn't fun, but we get along.

While I don't know how much import duty etc there might be, buying from the UK saved me $1000 on a new mic. I figure I can set it up outside for a few months to age it. It'll be vintage in no time and I can then sell it for twice what I paid!
