Received a Teaching Machines Wellspring reverb unit today. Going to be a bit before I can put it to use but super pleased with the packaging quality and it's a heavy, solidly built unit. Can't wait to check it out, especially with a Master Room to which to compare it.
Edit: Got here in five or six days which is surprising from the UK

Rack space is now at a premium in my room so I’m putting in a Lynx 32 HD n for PT. I have another SM69 tube which sounds great. I still can’t believe people are paying 3 times the price for a C24. I sold my C24 as it didn’t get any use. They do not have the lows of a C12.

Not sexy but just got 250’ of Starquad, xlr’s and panel mount xlr’s to get my console up and running. It’s an old broadcast ADM with crazy line in switching that I don’t need, in’s and outs are on these whacky plastic jacks. When I picked it up I had about 10 mins to go in and grab it before it got scrapped, and unfortunately just had to cut the cables, cut it out of the desk it was in, throw it on a dolly I made the night before and roll it on out of the station that was getting torn down the next day.
I’ve got it jacked up on a table, took one channel and bypassed the line in switching, have it wired direct to the channel strip and the outs to a direct out. Mic inputs were out of phase against the line inputs, really odd. Not much info out there about these things, it’s been fun diving in. One channel down, 11 to go!

We are gear heads, after all, so this totally fits in with our mentality. Great score on the console!

A pair of Austrian Audio OC818 mics arrived. I'm intrigued by the possibility of adjusting the mics' pickup patterns in post production. This would be a very useful tool in some of the remote large spaces in which I work. I quickly shot them out against my AKG 414s in the studio on a 122RV Leslie cabinet using John Hardy pre-amps and the results were outstanding. I'm hoping they hold up as well once put into service.

And unlike most of the internet we find 4 or more to be perfectly logical not signs of a problem! nice score Tim!

Totally - I'm at the point where I just feel like I can't trust them, so I'm shying away from using their plugins. I mean, I'd been using them less and less over the years anyway, but there are a few that are still really, really good, and now I'm very hesitant to even instantiate them. Yeah, I know what you mean. It’s almost for security purposes at this point…like “better have a version of RVox that opens on this operating system just in case” That's probably in my future in the next three months also. The audio demos are great.

Lol I fucked up, I wanted to quote Bat Lanyard's post regarding the Teaching machine Spring reverb.
It's the spring reverb I heard the audio demos of. For the price I mean, it's just amazing.

KM86? Not everyone can get one. Not always even the Motown Museum. So what becomes of the broken hearted? Chris

Another old Fender Strat Plus crossed my path. Its winter down here and cold so I had to take it in, it was the right thing to do. Love the Blue Pearl Dust colour 3 by BEANAT19, on Flickr

I got a good price on a barely used Radial Six-Pack (6 channel) 500 Workhorse chassis. I was inspired by the Dsub in/outs, but sold on the fact that channels 7&8 can be routed to external hardware -- meaning I can easily integrate 500 series and a couple of full size processors with my interface. That has REALLY simplified my cabling/routing!

Just bought a used Capi BT50. I made another post about it but I thought it belonged in this thread. That fact that I found a used one was special enough but I also got a good deal on it. That's a double-whammy.

I confess to buying a Rode ambisonic mic for some remote gigs. There’s an overstock dealer with some on ebay new and under MAP.
The bummer with most ambisonics is they require post processing, and setup is a challenge in many DAW.

My Standard Audio Level-Or Dual finally came in - as did a pair of Olympic MicEQ modules.
I've been waiting for both since ordering last year so feeling pretty pumped.

After years of wanting a pair, the shift from a seller's to buyer's market coincided with a flood of work and I was able to snag a pair of the AMS Neve 1081 reissues in the AMS rack. Only just arrived and I'm still in the honeymoon phase, went straight to working on a song so I haven't done the deep dive A/B against my AML 1081's or even the test files I have from renting OG 1081's yet but these just feel right and are very inspiring to work with. Feeling very lucky to have crossed these off the wish list. Attachments:
