I am going to take the opposite view, this is good for Waves, and simpler than WUP. I often wonder how much of Waves customer base is institutional VS individuals. Waves still rules in the Studio for hire, Educational and Soundgrid is a Hit with big Churches.
From talking to various Software exces in all kinds of fields, if your favorite software company has more than 2 people on the payroll, it’s going to end up as a subscription because that model delivers consistent revenue, even if the guy writing the code hate’s subscription, his VC is going to demand it.
