It’s only money that I don’t have! There are a lot of things from Chandler I would dearly love to have here . . . but they are not cheap tools, in either construction or price. Great value, if you have extra funds to work with.

Recently sold some stuff I haven't been using much so decided to go for a RS660. Really looking forward to try it on an album mix next week

Uh oh..the Taiwan distributor got a stepped version in. Going to see if they'll let me compare it to my 124 but I already know I'll end up wanting it.
Anyone used or heard the Heritage 660? It's got the DC threshold control (ratio/knee basically) and a sidechain HPF.
The Stam 660 is half the price of Heritage and a bit less than Chandler's and has wet/dry blend but no sidechain filters.

You are comparing things called 660 that aren't all 660's, FWIW.

The Chandler (or say the EARs) are their own things, but definitely take some design inspiration and recognition/hype from that infamous number. Still I'm curious what these all sound like, don't mean to steer things off topic.

No harm in trying it; TBH it's the only way for you to know if it works for you. fwiw...I did many, many, many demos at SW last week, and the response was positive; the expressions were amusing and the most enjoyable part for me.

With the privilege having Adam here... spock Is there an easy way to buy a second unit later and have it stereo matched? To my knowledge (having two AnalogueTube here with 8x6386 in each) JJ 6386s actually have serial numbers and the measurements stored so at least for them I believe it wouldn't be too hard to match.. But I guess pots and xformers and perhaps more have to be matched too

Hi, Yes, there’s path towards having an initial unit matched to a second one. Logical The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.

Jealous ! Though it's nice to share joy for new lovely gear I'm pretty tired myself of all raving about gear and peoples superior lives on social media and stuff, but I do have to say, and as always, this is for people that care and can afford to care to go the last few percents of refinement, this unit makes me want to sell a bunch of my other hi end comps and get like...three more of this. It adds fatness and creaminess and the GR "ballistics" caresses the source in a lovely way. Great work Wade & Co!

Paul, we're so happy the RS660 has met your expectations and that you're really enjoying it; your satisfaction is what makes doing this worth it.

I’ve had one more months now and it’s been on bass and vocals mostly. This thing is really special on bass guitar. I’d like to get a chance to AB this and a Sta Level on bass. I’d love to get a 2nd soon for mixbus and mastering

Continuing to share the joy for this thing.. Just ordered a pair and excited like a kid. Have had the RS124 on bass (after Purple MC77) since 2016, but thinking about selling it for yet another RS660. Yes, it's that good!

To muddy the water more, I thought the RS124 was the best bass comp I’d ever used. I like the RS124 on bass as well.
