There's a certain presence about the RS660 and it is fast, plus the the THD thing inherited from the TG1 and Zener Limiter is another layer of possibility. To me, they are made to hang together, much like what ended up being the case at Abbey Road once the 660 was introduced into the ecosystem. |

I’m out of town at the moment, but this is an interesting development. So, spock obviously the 660 number and brown color is aimed at a certain unobtanium comp. Is it Chandler’s take on that? Mind you, I’m posting this like a funny before reading the release. |

Ok…just read the release. The answer is yes. So, just from (drunkenly) reading, is it a 660 mixed with the distortion characteristics of the EMI flavored comps? Or am I misreading that?

Recently Josh indicated he was building his 660.
Different price points, but both would be very good part’s spec: wonder if a shoot out will happen here?

It may have rough timing of a 660 but lacks a lot of what makes a 660 a 660. I wish people would do something original but alas the marketing is harder and it doesn’t sell as well. |

The last Namm was back to the 60's / 70's - Pye compressors, Sound Techniques, Herchild, Level or,
H2 Helios, Motown Eq, more Neve & 1176 clones, etc..
Just an observation - All good stuff..
