Saw a pair of Serranos near me for sale..Vintage 84's. Been reading a bit and saw this thread the other day..
Thought I'd ping here to see if you guys are still digging this mic maybe post honeymoon?
Are they still getting use? Sold off?
Any warts revealed over time? Build quality?
Dreaded harshness issues?

I’ve only had them for a month or so, but the Omni capsule is my new go-to for acoustic guitars. The vintage caps are excellent as drum overheads if you’re looking for that km84 thing - detailed and present without harshness.
Build quality seems excellent so far. I’ve also had a Serrano 87 for some time, and no problems with that.
Good to hear all that..I need a pair for mostly acoustic instrument duties and possible 2 mic scenarios..i listened to the demo of these posted here..they sounded pretty great but i didn't notice if the gentleman who did the video (excellent btw) indicated how much processing went into the final video sound..
