This is a quote from Charlie @as “Balanced IN/OUT ;
This box is HEAVYYYY and CRAMMED with multiple custom Accutronics reverb sleds, etc. It's also a b*tch and a HALF to build one of these, as far as straight labor time and frustration goes.” (end quote)
I believe it was also stated 2 rack space unit
Well damn there goes more of my money !

As someone with a lot of spring reverbs (including an AKG BX10 not shown) I’m interested to see what they have in store

It was posted on your favorite site in the Unofficial Audioscape thread. My guess is that it's a Master Room XL-305. Or possibly the Orban 111b.

My guess is that it's a Master Room XL-305. Or possibly the Orban 111b. Well....I think not. Charlie said : "it's ALL analog, sounds as LUSH as an EMT, arguably BETTER (especially our reissue) than the AKG BX series and is operating on VERY similar principles to all of the above..."
If that's true and not hyperbole, then it's far beyond either a Master Room or Orban.

The usual suspects have been included in some of the discussions for a little while now. I'm so pleased for such a warm reception!! #ASAF

I was considering picking up a Vermona DSR-3, so maybe I should wait until this thing is available to make a decision.

There's no way that a Master Room or Orban outperforms an EMT or BX20. He used the word "reissue", so to me that sounds like a clone and then some. As for the BX20 and EMT, I hear what you're saying. But he stated that it's not either of those. Based on the other clues provided, what are we left to think than that it's something like a Master Room or Orban? My two cents, anyway.

Maybe it's a custom box that someone made back in the day?

See my response above. Also, if you read the back and forth on GS, and as posted here by Ward, you'll see what I mean.
It's a rack mount spring reverb. It's a reissue (or a clone, if you will). But it's not an AKG.
So what's left to reissue? Master Room, Orban, or possible one of the other rack mount spring reverbs from the 80s.

I really dig my Orban 111b, but wouldn’t mind a more “hifi” spring unit to add the my outboard verbs that doesn’t cost as much as the Benson.

So what's left to reissue?. I suppose we'll find out soon enough, eh?

Maybe it's a custom box that someone made back in the day? I suppose it could be that, but some of the back and forth on GS, if I remember correctly, gave me the impression that the AS version was an improvement on the original design, to address shortcomings of the older unit, such as noise. So maybe it's a souped up Master Room?

So what's left to reissue?. I suppose we'll find out soon enough, eh? Yeah, I'm cautiously excited. I mean, I don't NEED an analog reverb of any kind really. Digital reverbs are one of those things that I don't really give a second thought about using anymore. They're pretty good these days, including digital models of things like the EMT or AKG. Also, if I were to go for an analog reverb, it would be an EMT plate or an AKG spring. But maybe this new AS thing will be super cool.

Sounds like an AKG BX5 “reissue” to me That's also kind of what I thought at first, but then Chris said it wasn't going to be an AKG clone/reissue. At least that's how I read it.

I have fond memories of a BX20 I used to have. Great verb in a 70/80's kind of way.
