Recently fell victim to the Focal Spirit Pro headband fail...super glue didn’t work, but as soon as the duct tape wears out...seriously considering the Beyer DT 1770 Pro cans for tracking and reference...

How are you liking it so far? Mastering or mix bus? mostly use it mastering. I love the MS function. Need to spend more time with the different tubes I have though. Just haven't gotten around to it. Have some 6386's to try. |

It won’t be an impulse buy, but I have located a very nicely priced AEA R44ce... I found an AEA R44 for sale on reverb. The guy had it listed for $2000 and he referenced it as an R44ce. I reached out to the guy to confirm the mic model (there was a pic - I knew it was a regular R44) and the price. I kinda hinted to him the pricing was more in line with an R44ce. He was so thankful he sold it to me for the $2k!! He got it in trade for session work and never used it. It is now one of three of my main vocal chains. Scrounging!!! That’s how I find gear. |

Trying not to get a pair of Spectra Sonics 610s. People who love them seem to also have/love stuff I love, like VP Dynamites, CBS Audimax, stuff like that.
But the fact that it's supposedly also good for clean peak limiting wasn't on my radar until recently.

Not sure how many are out there yet. Kinda waiting on real world accounts of how the conversion and summing is.
But gotta sort my computer issues first. Damn thing is possessed.
