There doing a "New Year's Day" Estate sale, just down the street.
Bunch of these old tubes. On one I can only read "_F-14" on it. Some old German electronics guy used to collect them.
I wonder if it's worth spending a dollar on it? Chris

Vanguard V-44. Big weakness for stereo mics here. It lives above my drum kit. Sounds great all around! Thats where mine is headed. Unless some C12 or 251's beat it out first. LOL

Vanguard V-44. Big weakness for stereo mics here. I want stereo pairs of everything, mics, pres, compressors...its a weakness for sure! I don't think you really have to worry about having a "problem" until you want PAIRS of STEREO mics. Then, it's time to seek help.

My kidding aside above... Either a Beyer M88TG, or the "flatter" Beyer 201TG, is a good possibity for early 2020. The recording area at work (after hours) is actually pretty good for most vocals, but a narrow pattern dynamic mic for very LOUD vocals would be handy. (The AKG D790 I have is cool for an "airer" style vocal though-Jury's out on EV 767a so far) Chris

Great mic for nearly everything, vocals, drums, acoustic instruments, whatever comes to mind, great allrounder. Never heard that someone regrets having bought one, except it was broken.

Yes-Thanks! Honestly, I didn't realize how desirable the M201 was until recently. Plus I "hate" de-essing! I'm experimenting with an EV 767a though, with moderate de-essing to see if I can get "close enough". I had also thought seriously about the Soyuz Launcher, but will reserve judgement on that till after testing it at NAMM. Chris

Yes, everyone and his uncle knows the SM57 or the SM58 but for just twice the price you get one of the finest and most flexible dynamic mics out there, that has already some qualities of condensers while still beeing able to record the loud stuff. In a much easier to handle form factor and more affordable pricing than a 441 ...

Ironically, if I get the Beyer 201TG... My SM58, and EV 635a will probably be finding new homes pretty soon after! One of my good friends, also "claims" to be good at soldering/audio electronics/etc. So it might be fun later this year, do do some mic modding on my AKG 200 and/or MXL V69. (I just don't think Klaus has quite enough time for all this! ) Chris

As great as it sounds they feel duped by their own stupidity. Title this post how Eric scores a bunch of dirt cheap 201’s a long time ago.

Everything that audioscape makes that I do not yet own. And today is Wednesday and that means there will be things you don’t have listed for sale.

If I was smart, I’d sell all of the stuff that doesn’t make me money and put it into something that would make me more money. But alas, I am dumb.

Me: No, I don't really need more cable at the moment.... <buys cables 15 min later after realizing of course I need more cables. Always.> Nah, I really don't need another artificial drummer brain for Jamstix. <bought via Paypal 30 min. later> <glimpses at the used mic market> Aaargh
It's hopeless, even if you are poor like me ...

ZenPro Audio is blowing out Tonelux Equalux EQs for $799.00 right now. Just an absolute steal. Somebody please buy them all up so I’m no longer tempted. Well, I just bought one of them... Thanks for the heads up!
