For no particular reason I've been jonesing for a 441 lately, don't even need one but selling a mic on Tuesday and gear sale cash always seems to be the most flammable of all cash in the pocket. Whew, I love me a good 441. And thanks to phdamage , I actually have a good one! (Well, it's actually a 541 Blackfire edition...) I think you'll really dig it, Darren Boling I hate when 441 talk comes up. I don't have one, and I really want one. |

I wouldn’t say “smart” so much but it sure wouldn’t hurt me. Thinking about the M 160 since all my other ribbons are figure 8. I know a ton of people who love those. I only used one on a session in Brooklyn years ago. Ha, at least in selling one and buying one (or two) that's still a better ratio than usual. In this case an AEA N22 to 441 swap is somewhat even. Since we're on 441's I've only used an old one with the Tuchel to XLR adapter, do the new versions sound the same? I loved that old one I used.

I have a '94 810 that sounds remarkably better than it did in the 90s when I bought it new. Not that Greg needs any encouragement towards making purchases  |

Hahaha. i have a 555 12 string that is a 97 and an amazing guitar. The 512 from then is a good guitar.

I have lots of things I try not to impulse buy, which 99.9% of my purchases are. It seems there's always a "sale", and I have my eye on a Fender Mustang. Those look so pretty.
(Even though I know nothing about playing bass)

I’m at the point where everything I want for the studio is at least a couple of grand so trying to stay strong and save and not buy like, a snare drum that’s a good deal but I’ll never use has been tough

At this moment I am frustrated/happy that I only have a 6-space API rack. Frustrated because I only have two spaces left and want to buy a dozen modules, and happy because I only have two spaces left so I WON'T buy a dozen modules. And please don't tell me to buy another rack. My GAS hasn't figured that option out yet. It'll either be a pair of CAPIs or a Great River. Jeez, maybe I need an 8-space after all... It's the stuff I regret NOT impulse buying.
I bought a Coil CA-70s last year for 1700 and at my dealer's they're now 2250!! .... that's +550!!
He asked me if I wanted the Coil CA-286s for another 1700, as he had one in stock, and I very nearly went for it
.... wish I had they're now 2200!
Bugger.
