Hey All, In September of 2017, I saw that a local studio was closing. I contacted the landlord of the space mid-Sept and signed a lease starting Oct 1. I wasn't actively looking for a space at the time, and really couldn't afford it (still can't), but spaces like this don't come up every day. So, I guess I've officially been in this space for 2 years now. My first 6 months or so was basically just cleaning, painting, wiring, racking, testing, etc. Been grinding to get bands in, but I've had a bunch of repeat business, so I guess I'm doing something right. Have worked on some super cool projects and some much less cool projects. Site is here: www.themixinghouse.comHere are a couple of pics I took when I toured the place. How do you keep it cool with all that gear running? No problem keeping it cool in the winter. Summers get HOT though. Lot of sweaty half naked dudes in the summer. haha |

[br Done in the live room, for now at least. I've got 8 slim par 64s around the room on a dbx controller. I've also got 2 sticks of cheap lights to point. Want better vibe lighting in the control room, but don't have the money to spend right now. |
