As for the 670, YES it IS on the drawing board. But I'm sure as most of you are well aware, this is NOT a simple or straightforward project to take on! This is a long-term goal. Basically the idea is, it'll take as long as it takes to get it right. Any update Chris or Charlie on the AS Fairchild ?

WOW - looking at the date there, definitely called that one right! We have an (ugly and messy) but WORKING prototype which we're tweaking as we speak as a matter of fact. All of the custom meters arrived (from arguably the best, 100% USA made meter companies still in existence)... The proto is working - now it's a matter of a few revisions to get things JUST right... this circuit is absolutely GENIUS... Rein Narma was an absolute visionary 😉👌

Weird only one unit of the pair showed up The other just says “pending” (fed ex) They were shipped together ah! That's very odd! Please contact FedEx if possible, if that doesn't work we will gladly contact them for you. This has happened a couple times this past month and it seems to always work itself out, with the tracking# "magically" updating itself and the package showing up a day or two later. Please keep us posted! Sorry for the trouble!

Quick impression:little brick shit houses.so solid.the single V3A here on AC Guit.nice musical mid push I remember.the grab sounds just right. the "limiter" position will be super nice for grabbing little peaks before a vari-mu. most definitely more alive, dimensional and weight than the plug ins. meters are real nice. I love 2 knob "more or less" thingies! looking forward to using them for tracking and stereo mix busses.[gtrs?] hopefully # 2 arrives soon.

An Audioscape 660 would be a dream come true. Waiting for a STAM 670 since I don’t know how long, no idea if it will ever arrive.

I WANT a 670, but I don’t think I could ever pull the trigger on that many tubes. Went through a bunch of Retro Sta-levels with like 6-8 tubes in it that fluctuated enough that it put a bad taste in my mouth.

dang the 2 3Va's don't fit in my 1608 console. yes I took the side panels off. I have to remove the adjacent 550a to get them in the front faceplates are too wide.even when they're slotted in the screws don't line up on one module. might have to bust out a file.kind of a shame to trash that beautiful paint on the sides.I guess no one will see it. could effect resale down the line though. I also see no easy way to link them on the console backplate or the external Purple sweet ten rack.soldering iron pins 6 together I think? they sound really nice.unlinked might not be a problem but its still nice to have the option.

I have it on good authority that it's not being released until it's ward-proof, or idiot-proof. Take your pick. Could mean the same thing. Who knows the inner workings of Yetter's mind? It's a super computer jumble of complex ideas in there! I have complete faith! It's going to be amazing!

Taking time to get things absolute perfect and foolproof is the company way. I know you loved/hated your stalevels. The audioscape V-Comp is just absolutely perfect without any tube fluctuations! The Fairchild+ clone will be flawless or won't leave the shop - which will really tick me off, but I'm certain it will be flawless. O:) :]]

I would try and contact Audioscape, they’d probably want to be aware that it’s an issue and will fix it on future faceplates, and probably send you a new one for free. This definitely isnt the first time I’ve heard about modules not fitting in certain racks/consoles I’m surprised there’s not a jumper of some kind for linking. Spectra 1964 has a pretty good system for that

So... Fedex strikes again! Like Roundbadge, only 1 of 2 showed up today - but expect the other will be here soon enough. Should be fine since I'm not sure I can maneuver around the board/racks to change wiring safely yet so a few days delay will have minimal impact - other than I'm anxious to hear these bad boys do their thing.

Sorry about the rotten luck there, my man. A while back I found that USPS outperforms FED-UPS by a large margin. Pretty bad when you can't even keep up with the Postal Service that actually contracts out shipping on your own planes!
