I bailed, so someone is going to get theirs sooner! There was no issues with my refund as Josh has stated, he is a man of his word with integrity. Thanks Josh.

I like this thread, you can talk about anything and it somehow correlates with null testing.š

Dude, you canāt have everything!!! Well, maybe if they changed the name to Behringer you can!!! Everything or maybe anything, a couple very tricky words. I wonder if you can request what transformer you want in these, or maybe just install your own? Dammit I said it!! Son of a B!

Interesting, as there is also an led input meter that stretches around the input gain knob and an output meter that stretches around the output gain knob. The powersupply? There are solid powersupplies in their Midas desks.
Not sure how accurate this is, but the preamp is derived from the PRO2 and the EQ from the Heritage 3000 desk...maybe? Not sure? Very interesting...Transformer engage button? They even have phantom power on the preamp!!! Lol! Holy smokes!!! That pre is loaded!
Ericn - Your XL4 filters are on the preamp, so you have to get the preamp, and Beh...Midas did that just for you!

Since we are going in the direction of the medical field, doesnāt proctology and null testing have something in common? Iāll let you answer that...lol

Had the same problem @ Sweetwater. Iāve been through two sales engineers there. My favorite was that time when there was a manufacturer increase in price as I was ready to purchase. That just ended my dealings with them.

Instead of ānuancesā I probably should have said āa lot that I have to learn.ā The room, the room the room! As an old live guy who spent years trying to get decent amp tones, the secret isnāt what happens within 12 inches of the speaker itās what the room brings to the party. So what Ericn is saying, for all you guys that have a sucky room. Use your UAD Oceanway plugin! Lol

CAPI is what I use here. Beefy power supply that powers two 11 space racks. I donāt have anyone to build them. How much for a rack with powersupply assembled?

I have been on a quest to build a 500 series console/hybrid setup. What are some of the best powersupply 500-10 space racks? Iām thinking price vs. performance WES Audio SupercarrierII Heritage Audio Purple Audio CAPI Rupert Neve R10 API Maybe I missed a few? Is there a power consumption issue with any of these items? I want to make sure my whole rack is getting the power it deserves! Still looking at price adjustments over the holidays.

Iāve often considered changing my home mix room to an SSL Sigma with VP-28ās on every insert, and then a pair on the mix bus. It sounds kind of crazy, but Iām sure it would sound killer and the 28ās would double up function because they are great mic pres. Iāve used 28ās on my mix bus for years and absolutely love it - I canāt imagine the goodness Iād get from having 16 channels going through them at mix... Then Jeff came out with his Sumbus which looks plain old badass and now I still am kind of stuck in limbo with my decision. VP-28 Platinumās or standard?

OK - I really am schizophrenic. I've tracked two songs the last two days with the Kemper...and it's just sooooo easy. And ultimately, the profiles DO sound different. Like I said above, I'm guilty of tweaking everything to sound like a 67 Deluxe lol. And then I go on a message board and complain about everything sounding the same. I'm starting to really figure out the nuances of electric guitar in production - i.e., it's how the amps fit into the entire mix...not just "I'm going to tweak this until it sounds killer by itself." Annnnyway. I can't sell it. The UAD stuff DOES sound fantastic. But the more I thought about putting more money into the UAD amps, the more I thought about never being able to get my money back. At least with this, I have a piece of HW that (currently) has some value. So, I'm about-facing. And, you can sell and re-buy again! and again! and again! and yet another time! Lol I think we are all guilty of this! I'm currently revisiting old gear I used to own and sold. I really like mine!

Vincent, have you looked into a used Dangerous Music 2-buss+? Just my two cents here. I had the 2bus+ and then I ran a mix that I had been working on through the CAPI SumBus and it made the Dangerous sound like I was mixing in the box comparatively. *Not a paid advertisement [ Iām not doubting your audio findings, did you have outboard connected to your 2 buss+? I came from a console, then X-desk, then 2Buss+, now looking at the Sumbuss being possibly my next move, not that any options were bad, I made it work. Everyone has his/her workflow/sonic preference. I am getting ready to cut my CAPI teeth! It seems every few years I find myself being nothing but an audio lemming Jumping into the next pool of audio goodness for that incremental nano gain of greatness! Lol
