You should be good, as the performance cores would theoretically only be needed with higher dsp/memory demand.

Careful jumping on a m3, there are known throttling issues with the M series not assigning cores consistently.
Some are getting m2 instead.

As the lapsed Subscribers, enjoy spending the $1,000’s they saved. I thought UA could have done two things, confirm which clients had paid more then the subscriber Ultimate price and just give them the remaining license to complete Ultimate.
Apparently, UA claims it can’t do this, seems like a pretty simple analysis of the client sale’s data it already has.
Or offer those clients something meaningful like a $5-1000 non time limited coupon to use on anything UA makes. Remember, the lapsed subscribers can do anything they want with the $1,000’s they saved.

Nah, I understand the, we got what we paid for argument, but people who were buying plug ins for 5-10 year’s or more at UA originally much higher prices were hardly early adopters.
Everything changed, when ua decided to let lapsed subscribers buy Ultimate 11 at $1,000’s off. It could have done something then to recognize, it was the years of expensive support from its established clientele that made it successful, but instead it only begrudgingly offered them the opportunity to pay even more money for more plugs, completely sweeping the original inequity under the rug.

The SW Mike is just a rebranded low cost mike you can buy elsewhere, but if you are buying the software and don’t have a Mike buying the complete SW package makes sense.

Any mike works , most have a correction file profile that you also need, you can load that into SW’s so your measurement is linear.
i may test this but with some stereo hi fi monitors I have, not great but measurement should still be accurate, then I could test process and or delete SW software and see if profile stays in lynx N control

Man, I'm not a pile it on guy, but between the 11-day two email response around my UA OX not working anymore I'm on the tip of just bagging on the UA stuff. So frustrating. And if you want to compile that frustration, just login to UA's site, go to your account and pull up past orders and just let the emotions roll when you see all those dollars spent. Talk about pissing off your base. Sealed. Everyone else, please enjoy the sale, lol. That’s what I said a few year’s ago, when UA started these inequities, letting lapsing subscribers who had paid like $100 buy Ultimate 11 for under 2 grand : crickets at UA forum other than Drew implying I was out to lunch. Eventually, UA came up with the great idea of letting long term heavily invested clients pay even more to buy more plug ins, missing the mark entirely on the fact they had already paid way more then the lapsed subscribers. Welcome to UA’s way of rewarding you: it’s most loyal clients: now just cherry pick, the lowest price you see.

Are you saying the value of a plug in is it’s price ?
Come on , the value is in its sound, features and utility.

So, only owners of the uad2 Helios can buy the port uadx plug for $2.99? I don’t think I knew this was uadx, I had it before and didn’t use it much, but If I can get it for $2.99, just for the eq, that’s good value.

You mean N control: right ? Yes, although I mention SoundID because I'm assuming you need to own it to get the profile, right? I was talking to Mike but, they have a demo , if you had a measurement Mike, you’d be able to create a profile, and once loaded in n control, I think , it would be discreet from the Sonarworks demo, so when that ends, you’d likely still be able to use the profile? Do you have a measurement mike ?

There is no conversion going on. Just a simple EQ curve (not linear phase) so my guess is that there is no latency. I've got to get a lot of editing done in the next few days but if I get a chance, I will download the new mixer and load my SoundID profile into it and see how it works. You mean N control: right ?

So there's no discernable latency introduced as a result of the applied profile? I thought such filters, if not already active (and flat?), would introduce some additional delay. I've always been hesitant with these room correction solutions purely because of added latency (and possible degradation in certain cases), but if it's as simple as making the profile (after buying the mic and software), then I'm quite a bit more interested... They didn’t say no latency, nor provide a measurement.

A bird in hand: sounds to me like you got a killer deal and what you wanted: be happy to have the opportunity to try them IN YOUR ROOM vs the 48’s and then decide: it doesn’t get better, ya done good !
