The only confusing thing I find is there are no digital outs? How can you use this with an interface's AES/EBU, ADAT or SPDIF? As Anubis was designed for co-mingling with HAPI/HORUS, those boxes are where you would use digital I/O

It’s very complex and thus can do a lot. I would say, there is a higher learning curve to it. But once you get how to set it up for your application, it becomes a truly magical box, which IMHO, sounds stunning in every part of it. The headphone amplifier blows away the HAPI headphone amp in no small way. The whole experience of ANUBIS is top level. But I will tell you honestly, it’s a far more complicated device than 98% of Audio Interfaces on the market. Adam, Could you use it with PT Ultimate (2019.10), Natively, inside a Cheesgrater (Core Audio) via ethernet?
Yes, via Merging Core Audio Driver It is now approved for the latest Mac OS

i have my eyes on this one but i never used a ethernet type interface, hope its not complicated for average user. i have looked into their hapi ADDA and was too much for me to figure out as a musician. may have to sell my few stuff to fund it. ...It looks kinda like its written on the Sony Ardour platform... "Sony Ardour"? I've heard of "Ardour", and I know Harrison Mixbus is based on it, but am curious if there is another incarnation involving Sony? The first thing I thought of when I saw that Luna was a "recording system" was that the DAW was based on Ardour. I was mistaken. Strike Sony from the record. But yea, this looks like its based on Ardour.

So, it is a free (included with Apollo and Arrow) DAW with features such as "Accelerated real-time monitoring", Neve Summing and Oxide Tape Emulation and LUNA instruments
It looks kinda like its written on the Sony Ardour platform.

Looks like we've got some British on British crime. Audient just announced two new ultra-portable and ultra-affordable interfaces that look comparable to these SSL interfaces. The Audient EVO 4 is 2 in 2 out for $129. The Audient EVO 8 is 4 in 4 out for $199. These things look tiny. evo.audio/I see we are still in the age of "making gear musician friendly"

The stuff is so confusing. I own a perpetual license already, but I have to pay - what is it? - $99 each year? Is this different than that? Re: Annual Update & Support Plan I think it’s $199 now for Standard PT $999 for Ultimate. Oh and while we are at it...Avid no longer offers reinstatement’s So, If you let the Support Plan Lapse, you have to purchase another full license again. Oh, Avid.

There's at least 1 innovation here. The monitor input appears to be a blend knob, so you can use a single knob to blend between input and DAW output. (vid @ 1:50) Seems like a very smart feature for home users. Do any other companies do this? Fluid Audio SRI-2 does this

There are no rules that say this device can’t just connect SOME gear, Let’s start using our “hat-racks“ for thinking instead complaining, eh?

I don't really understand why people these days have such a problem with simply sticking plugs into holes.
Also these things aren't connector compatible with my console's onboard TT patchbay. I'd end up with a permanent rat's nest connecting the console's I/O with the automated patchbay dingus.
I prefer a non-permanent rat's nest.
Oh gee, Another thread where you don’t get the concept, ...Of a routing device. Why am I surprised?

When the first Patch came onto the scene, it was clear a lot of guys wanted more points, rather than hobble multiple units together, eating up DSUB points. But, I think even the LT version could be enough for some users who would use this product. Time will tell! For Demoing hardware units in a dealer showroom, the PATCH is AWESOME. I don't have to fiddle with cables anymore. yay

Don't forget REDNET from Focusrite! That's really the best way to run Dante I/O boxes, if you have concerns about Latency. Rednet PCIe card. Works in a Cheese-grader Mac, no problem.

UAD has fully replaced all of the features of HDX for me. If using it with Pro Tools vanilla you are still subjected to Avid's artificial track count limitation, but that's not an issue for the vast majority of users. But I agree that the few studios still catering to freelance engineers need to have HDX/HD because most freelance engineers don't know how to run a UAD session. I think most home and project studios are going to continue to migrate to other DAWs, regardless of what the big studios are doing. It's too easy to import and export audio in and out of different DAWs. If I weren't so lazy I would learn a new DAW and make the switch. yeah that was kind of my point. I learn Pyramix in the last 2 years a bit. I like it alot....and hate it a lot haha Super curious why you like/hate Pyramix? I have been using it for about 4 years now

16 channel D.W Fearn Mixer with 16 VT series mic amps as the front end, (mic pre direct output/channel-to-master switchable to a line input) Gotta have big rotary knobs, no faders, two mono Aux outs, master section/monitor out with large VU's and an even larger master volume rotary knob. all tube electronics. Red. I could skip the mic inputs and get two VT-24 boxes to put in the rack.

we have a demo unit here, its very nice. Detailed and great off-axis rejection for a condenser. I still favor the SV33, but its a nice option for these types of (above) performances.

I doubt it, but I'll check with my friends at Alto Music, in case there's one I can try there. If you can't find one available to try, I have a demo that we could send you. Just pay shipping and check it out for 2-weeks.
