£150 off Avids list price with this permanent, perpetual license, this license does not expire.
There is no obligation to subscribe in order to activate Pro Tools, this licence continues to authorize Pro Tools even if you do not renew your plan.
Included in the sale is a 12 month update and support plan providing access to the latest version of Pro Tools
Owners of a perpetual license can add additional months to their support plan for £88.00 per year
Without a perpetual license Pro Tools is available via subscriptions

The stuff is so confusing. I own a perpetual license already, but I have to pay - what is it? - $99 each year? Is this different than that?

Your don't have to pay every year if you have a perpetual license. But if you want updates you do.
It's that simple. If you don't pay for the updates you can run that version for as long as an OS supports it.

I don't understand what the quoted text is referring to. An HDX license maybe? What are we talking about here?

Sorry if this is confusing, thought it was just a sale on PT perpetual licenses which would be interesting for anyone running an older license, could upgrade at a discount ?

Re: Annual Update & Support Plan I think it’s $199 now for Standard PT $999 for Ultimate. Oh and while we are at it...Avid no longer offers reinstatement’s So, If you let the Support Plan Lapse, you have to purchase another full license again. Oh, Avid.

I had my lawyers read this over. It took 7 lawyers 4 billable hours to reach a conclusion.
While they could not in the end determine the exact terms of the plan / agreement / possible treaty they did advise not engaging with this entity in any professional or legal matter.
