Well, I haven't watched the demo yet, (will do asap), but the Ocean Way plug-in never really got me where I wanted. I've heard cowboycoalminer do some tracks with it that truly sounded like he was in a great studio like Ocean Way, but that involves re-miking, which bugs me. I haven't struggled to find the best possible mics for my vocals and guitars to then use an emulation.
I'm very happy with the Liquid Sonics 7th Heaven and my Relab XL480, and I've got a bunch of other verbs. This will have to absolutely blow my mind to make me think it's worth that much for a plug-in. Also, I almost never use the Manley Massive Passive because it uses so much DSP, that by the time I add it to the 2 bus along with my standard UAD plugs working at the same time, it's always short of DSP. That makes me wonder how this will affect the DSP usage.

Btw if you log into your ua account you should have a $100 coupon called CAP so you get an almost 30% discount on release day or you can use that coupon on any over $100 plug in. Kuddos UA! Hmmm. Looks like they are picking and choosing. Yeah, only a $50 coupon on my end.

At the ua forum site they were referencing a $100 coupon. I’ll see if that gets clarified?

Thats almost reason enough to get some UAD stuff. I think it might come to a around 1,000 bucks. A Satellite Quad and the plugin. I'm thinking about it...

Drew, am I correct about the current coupons but I don’t think they can be used in combo with say a mki to mkii upgrade as that price is already discounted: correct ? It can be used so long as it doesn't have any restrictions.

FYI, the coupon is a $50 "chambers" coupon.
Can be used on anything, but must be over $100.

Not to be that guy, but how does it compare to the Waves AR Chambers?

My buddy Ryan Earnhardt did a video where he shot it out in a blind test, vs a real chamber setup. In the blind test I picked the Waves plugin!

If you can score a Bricasti for anywhere near $1k, that would be a killer deal! ...unless you really meant a Bircasti, assuming that'd be the Behringer knock-off version...

More like $3,000 , if you are lucky, plus an Octo card runs all ua plugs not just a verb !

amazing.. never in my lifetime i would have imagined something like this would be available to engineers outside LA.
I previously owned the Sony 777 with other studio rooms before it became an anchor.
Luckily i purchased the octo last month when they're deal was on.

Nice , But what happens when you’re deeper into a track and have some UAD plugs running on busses and on a few tracks, can you somehow disable the UAD plugs while tracking and then turn them back on afterwards?
DSP is one reason I didn’t buy the XL480. I have the Relab version, and even if UAD’s version is better, I would have to keep it on for all my recordings because I use reverb on everything while tracking and mixing. One day i’ll probably just buy a satellite, but right now, I’d rather put that money toward a mic, or two.

Not to be that guy, but how does it compare to the Waves AR Chambers? AR Chambers is pretty unusable for me. I want to like it but it just sounds weird and cheap every time I put it on. I much prefer the stock Logic reverbs for chambers.
