I always had on my shortlist to demo VCC2 - you know to be fair -
I did my test with something I am currently writing - a ballad. Drums / Guitar / Base / B3 Organ / Lead Vocal.
Its just a short test with one stile of music.
To make a long story short. I did hear a lot of things which I like. Depth. Dimension. Nice Base distribution.
The two G and E SSL simulations did it for me.
Now I think about to ditch my summing mixer.
Any opinion is welcome ....but this seems to me the first Slate plug in which makes sense.

Being 53 I come from a tape machine/ large format console back ground in recording, and Slates VCC was the first plugin since I went digital many years ago to make me feel my mixes have the sound I really want from them.
I won't mix without VCC perosnally, for me it makes digital audio sound the way I want it for the style of recordings/production and music I make.
I still use a hardare mix bus compressor and some tape/tube FX in my HEDD 192 as I mix, but VCC has removed my own personal need for a summing mixer.
It's definately my favourite Slate plugin, I think they really got VCC right :-)

I have the every thing bundle and use pretty much everything except the consoles and tapes. Nebula/aqua r king there. Download the sand Trial from acustica audio. Unreal and not a big cpu hit either. I'm doing a direct comparison right now

I've always been really curious about Nebula but last time I tried to navigate their site and demo something I felt like someone slipped me some LSD. Just mind bogglingly obtuse. I'd like to try that stuff out though.

Which summing mixer are you using? I use an A+H small format console ZED 24 which sounds good too. I am in doubt, but VCC would make my workflow easier... I have to do some more AB ing.

One good thing about VCC 2 is grouping channels for drive and level is so much easier within the VMR format than it was for VCC 1.
Decent video on using the VCC came out today.

I hadn't tried VCC 2... I just downloaded and installed it.. and threw it on a mix... sounded good, real good.
Will have to explore further, I really never got on with VCC 1... don't know if its different, or I am 8)
good tutorials too!
cheers

It does sound better.

I actually used it on my mix of your tune though wiz, because I was looking to give it another crack.

I stop working now but it sounds not bad. Maybe the console is a bit more smooth in the HF range and provides a more 3D base range, but its not a big deal. I guess I could solve this with some HW on the mix bus.

Here is the mix I am on atm... Two mixes one with VCC 2 and one without. The non VCC 2 Mix No VCC
The VCC 2 Mix (channels are RC Tube, each channel at 0VU peaking, Mix Buss is 4KE at +3VU peaking) VCC RcTube Channels 4KE Mix Buss
So what do you think? I like it... but I need to come back after a break and double check... but my initial reaction is very positive... Certainly way better than I remember it. I tried the other models on the channels, and the RC tube was pretty much the stand out on this. CPU usage was very low. The interface is easier than last time, IIRC. cheers Wiz

I am just searching for something bad or the hook but yet there is nothing bad I can say.

I'm willing to do it just to hear something as well recorded as your stuff run through it.

No such things as dumb questions man. These r completely independent of nebula. And yes I believe their au as well. I just demoed pink 2416 (api 2500) yikes... I'm gonna stop demoing... I'm already broke lol Sorry to ask a dumb questions.. does it require nebula... or is it a plug in I can demo in Logic Pro X? cheers Wiz
