All good here in Stockholm, Sweden. I have absolutely no work at all which is perfectly fine since my wife is an Intensive care nurse, and has spent her last few weeks working insane sessions with 100% Corona patients, wearing a gas mask. So I’m doing back line work (the kids).

Alright in Albany NY. People are actually doing a pretty damn good job with the social distancing thing. I'm impressed. Relatively low number of cases in our county, compared to further south. I have friends in Brooklyn and I'm very worried for them. Things are definitely tense down there.
I'm feeling pretty anxious. I have had a life threatening illness before, and there's some PTSD from that that makes it difficult for me to handle the threat of any kind of illness, even though I'm not in any kind of high-risk category when it comes to this one. I only leave the house to walk the dog and go the grocery store every couple weeks. Fortunate to have a day job that is still paying me full salary and have great health insurance. Doing some work from home. Running out of audio work though.
My partner just started her own business doing pet care and training and is now basically fucked until this blows over, but we'll be fine. We started fostering a dog from down south this past weekend. The shelter workers are all being forced to stay home, so they're euthanizing a lot of animals. We got one of them, so that's nice. She's a sweetie.

We are fine thus-far in northwestern Illinois. I'm about 2.5 hours northeast of Drumsound. We are right on the Mississippi across from Iowa. A lot of people crossing the bridge for work, and it's interesting because Iowa has not been as constrained as IL to this point. Pretty empty streets on this side, much more traffic and happenings on the Iowa side. We've not had a lot of cases (like Chicago), but it's now starting to increase dramatically in our area.
I work in consulting remotely from a home office on a daily basis, so not much has changed for me regarding "shelter in place". Status quo other than the fact that most meetings now include video with the client and internally. Never did that before. I try to get out for an occasional walk, or to visit my elderly parents. They have been in assisted living since last November. The facility is on lock-down due to the virus, but they are allowing limited time for myself and my wife as my dad has been degrading dramatically the past eight weeks, is on hospice, and will likely pass in the next two weeks. It is difficult to not be able to see him every day, and the facility just granted my sisters access for the first time so they are on their way home from Minnesota today to say their goodbyes while my dad still has some ability to communicate. Sounds like the current funeral option is to allow only our family of five (mom, two sisters, my wife, myself) and maybe a pastor to do a graveside service when the time comes. I'm not complaining here. I know many are going through terrible situations of losing loved ones, and not being able to be with them on top of that. I'm grateful that we can get to see him when we can.
I feel for all of you who are out of work or short of it. You are all in my prayers. I am extremely blessed that my work continues for the moment. You don't hear a lot on the news about companies that are doing well under these circumstances. The main client I work with is a broker for reinsurers, and when an event like this hits they actually have an increase in business. They are making so much money that they have increased their request for our resources. While many people are using this time to work on their home, studio, recording, etc., I'm finding I don't have time for anything other than work and helping my parents. Because of the virus and the lock down, I'm managing three different entities in the care of my dad...hospice, the assisted living facility, and a 24-hour caregiver company. I'm also Power of Attorney, so lots going on around bills, bank accounts, health care decisions...all that goes with that. Again, not complaining here, but I'm burning the candle at both ends while trying to be careful of my health. Absolutely no time for singing or recording. But as a wise person here told me, the gear will still be here later.
Wife is a pre-school teacher for four year-olds at a private school. That brings a challenge in that parents are paying some pretty hefty tuition, and with the mandatory school shut-downs there is question on what expectations will be and what happens to teacher pay. We've gone over to the school several times for her to record 25 minute videos for her class, which she then posts to Google Classroom for the kids to watch. So far, so good, and I'm actually enjoying being her "technical resource" to assist with the videos. Not sure how many more times I want to run over to the school building, however.
Many challenges for all of us at the moment. Hang in there, stay safe, healthy, and treasure this extra, unexpected time with your family.

All good here. Honestly, my life hasn't changed THAT much. I'm still mostly working for myself, and the backlog of work I need to get done - mostly mixing - is self contained and has me locked in the studio, so....full steam ahead. We've been in self inflicted lockdown for about a month or so now. Still going to the pharmacy or grocery shopping as needed though.
The weather has been nice, so I've been dong a lot of trimming / maintenance on the trees on our property to get some exercise - which is really needed after a couple of heavy snows this winter. I'm accumulating a lot of big piles of branches though. LOL.
Honestly, life for me is the same. Different story for my wife, who has been pretty limited in taking care of her parents in their assisted living environment and is stressed with keeping the family stocked and under control. Her parents are (finally) in complete lockdown at their independent living facility - which thankfully is close. Got them out of CA a year ago. Both sons ended up back here for the duration, which is hard, but whatchagonnado? Instacart has been a Godsend. More money going out than usual, and less money coming in than usual, but we're making it OK.
57 cases of Covid in our county as of his AM. I don't think we've had any deaths in the county yet though. Am hopeful and optimistic that there seem to be good treatment programs coming online for Covid patients.
I have no idea when the "Apex" for this thing is going to be, but I'm thinking maybe sometime in June? We certainly seem to be behind the curve here....

All's well in LA. Back from the postponed/cancelled tour for 3 weeks now with no symptoms for any of our crew, very happy about that as the flight back felt a little hairy. Consider myself lucky as I had brought a lot of things from the studio home before I left for safekeeping so able to work from here. Like a lot of your guys feeling stir crazy. Fixing a lot of little things that needed attention and some that didn't. Digging up old sessions that I should've finished, doing A/B tests I'd never usually both with, recording my girlfriend's songs she was always asking me to do, spending a lot of time here on RGO, basically catching up on life. After finding the gold that is TP managing to keep store trips to every 2 weeks. The lack of traffic and the resulting quiet almost feels spooky and the sky has been consistently clear for weeks, it's actually quite beautiful.

All well here in Northern Virginia. I have many in my family who are in the medical profession, so I'm worried about them but so far, so good. Writing songs and chatting with friends on Zoom in between house fixer-upper projects.

OK in SLC. Pulled up the drawbridge almost a month ago and are being ridiculously paranoid. Looking forward to warmer days so we can get out in the backyard.

OK here in Miami even though we supposedly have the most cases in FL. Teaching voice on-line which ends up being much more challenging than having students right there physically to help them out. Rest of the time in the studio, of course. Everyone please stay safe! My wife is in the medical field & from what I heard yesterday looks like this thing is very slowly going away.

Sloweye, that's great you took that dog in. Sorry to hear the general situation about the Shelter. Coincidently, had a vivid dream last night, involving my late/beloved Westie "Dickens". (Yes I'm "one of those" people who believe there's "more to life" than just daily life. ) Chris

Remaining optimistic here in the PNW (west of Seattle), staying busy - back to essentially full time emergency medicine. More rural location so not being overwhelmed like large metro areas, fewer admissions so far. Personally seem to be staying virus free so far, but co-worker recently positive - keeping my distance at home with family. Oldest son lives NYC and has had intermittent fevers so likely positive but mild symptoms, keeping fingers crossed. Stay safe out there!!

If that's the case, thank you so much for your service in this situation. My daughter is a PA in some urgent care facilities outside of Chicago. She's had at least one fellow doc contract it, and she's sure she's been exposed. Just a matter of if/how it takes. Hoping you get all of the PPE you need.

Here in Stockholm / Sweden we are ok. My wife works from home and receives patients online (as she belongs to the risk group). Myself and my colleague keep building upcoming live studio at 232 square meters. So it's almost the same as quarantine. The mask and glasses are for fiberglass, not corona! Take care of each other and soon it will turn for the better! KR Håkan
