The crackle coming out of my Allen Smart C1 compressor . Called Sunset Sound for repair and last minute decision to hook it back up and try again. I had it patched wrong , stupidity at is finest . Wow
The real stupidity is first thing I checked was patching . Third times a charm .
Malcolm Holcombe live Europe tour I may get to mix

AA Bondy - Enderness I dig the back half of the album best Lucy Silvas - E.G.O. John Mellencamp - No Better Than This JT - 20/20 Experience Khalid - Free Spirit Neil Young - On The Beach

VOÏVOD - Angel Rat. It's not the kind of music most people listen to, but IMO best prog band ever.

I had a rental car with Sirius earlier this week: Toggled between Tom Petty Radio, Willie’s Roadhouse, Outlaw Country, Lithium, and XMU all day long. Each of those stations was decent but consistently annoyed me. Back to streaming and NPR... Also been listening to a lot of Sean Haye’s back catalog as I am pitching in on his new album.

After studio work sometimes 50's Prestige/Blue Note stuff, 60's ska/reggae etc..
I guess music that's more performance based seems to work here.

Speaking of Neil Young...I've just discovered an album from an old girlfriend/friend of his that he played a little lead on: Elyse Weinberg Greasepaint Smile. One of those 60s folk rock albums that was likely a dime a dozen back then, but listening to it today you wonder how it hasn't been deemed an all time classic for that genre.

It looks like Greasepaint Smile was unreleased at the time (looks like it was finally release in 2015), so that might explain things.

I will check out “Shakey”. I learned about the making of that record from the Cocaine & Rhinestones podcast on the Kershaw brothers. That record has such a vibe.

I’ve been super into Joe Henry lately. Just keep going from record to record and jumping around, I always find something new and interesting to listen to in his arrangements. The guy also turns a hell of a phrase.
The latest releases from Sara Bareilles, Lumineers, Jenny Lewis, and Maddison Cunningham are also in heavy rotation.

Didn’t list it but Reverie has been in the CD player in the last couple weeks. His production is fantastic, on his own stuff or for others, and I consider him as a lyricist right up there with whoever you want to list. Cheers, Geoff

Gillian Welch - "Hell Among the Yearlings" Tomb Mold - "Planetary Clairvoyance"
About as polar opposite as it gets.
