Coming to you in 3055! but then there will be a delay. I just couldn’t resist, it’s all out of fun. I’m still waiting for my Stam as well.

I want. Was going to get a silver bullet but this might have to come first. Add a ssl comp, IGS Tubecore, and an MQ2 and midside one and that's one hell of a mastering rig.

Looks fab but was under the impression 670’s weren’t really suitable for mastering?

Looks fab but was under the impression 670’s weren’t really suitable for mastering? Anything is suitable for anything if it works! There are no rules, if it sounds good. It is good Does MS processing. So should be nice. Could be noisy though, not sure. I've never used a real Fairchild. But plenty of them are used for mastering or on the mix bus anyways. Be cool to try one out either way. though an expensive experiment..

I own 2 - SA-2As and a SA4000 and have a deposit for 2 - 1073MPAs. Besides 3 known products in customer's hands, how many of the other 10 products listed on the StamAudio site actually exist in material form, other than Demo units. I see a lot of pictures but what units have actually reached the hands of users? I have the 2 listed above and Martin has the 1073 pre, any other different units in use?

I think people have his 1176, and I saw a 47fet and his 47 tube for sale in the classifieds. The SA4000+ has been shipping, too. I think Martins 1073 is different than the yet to be released version.

I haven't really been in the loop. In fact, I try to avoid all the Stam related posts because most of the posts are just about payment and eta shipping posts. I have a few units on order and they keep getting pushed back. I'm just going to wait and not worry about it. I receive emails from time to time saying that it's been pushed back even further due to parts sourcing and shortage. I think I also got an email stating that all products will be in stock by November. No biggie, I'll just wait longer.

The SA3A is shipping in 2 weeks and it's the last round we will do It is super cheap as it is on clearence at 790 with all Cinemag transformers and premium capacitors.
SA4000+ is the moded version of the SA4000 SA4000 MK2 is the new improvied SA4000 and there is also the SA4000 MK2+ which is the moded version of the MK2 (the mod adds transformers for an API or Neve flavour)

Wasn't clear with the + part. Really like the MK2 with tranny outputs. Lots of good looking gear man. Might have to make an order soon! No more SA3A huh? Why's that?

Curiously . . . I've always been a big fan of the LA3a on electric guitars.
So last night I parallel compressed an electric guitar track with a SA2a left and a UA LA3a right.
The SA2a won HANDS DOWN!! Much more transparent, warm, yet immediate. I'm wondering why I have the LA3as . . .

I've not used the reissue ones but an original 3a is really hard to beat.

Can you provide the frequency response specs for the StamChild SA-670?

Ditto. I'll take my SA3a's (the original SA's - SERPENT) over my super custom LA2a's any day. Every time I think about it, I wish I'd built another pair of the Serpent 3a's instead of the ultra tweaked 2a's I had built.... <sigh>

That thing looks incredible. I hear great things about the sound of them. Wish he had kept up with the kits on his site better. Some great stuff. Totally want his built units too.

If you want to attempt your own LA3A's, I'm going to be selling LA3A pcb's shortly. No kits though. Gotta tough it out and build it semi-oldschool DIY style.. LOL
