I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question... any option to buy a 16 channel version with the buttons already assembled ready to rock AND roll? It appears the Capi product is intended for those soldering iron certified? And what are the connections?

I don't think Jeff is going to sell these assembled from him. i read on Facebook someone else asked that and he said Kits only as he doesn't have the man power to do assembly on them. Though you could employ other builders out there to do it for you.

Yeah. Kit only. I think Bender has mentioned interest in building these. But I think he just needs to do one to get an idea of labor/price.

The plan for this summer is to teach the kid to solder and assemble some CAPI modules, so stay tuned for Dylan’s College Fund cables and assembly😁

Yeah. Kit only. I think Bender has mentioned interest in building these. But I think he just needs to do one to get an idea of labor/price. Yes I'll be offering these assembled like @shadowamd & mdmitch2 edit: thanks! , which by the way was it your idea to make the vp28 a loss leader reverb or was that someone elses doing, maybe that truman audio kid? Eithercase I've had to match your price a couple times now for the thrifty reverb shoppers Lol Anyway, considering the size and probable weight of the chasis/iron, builder location might be something to consider shipping wise for some folks, so I'd certainly consider going with Shadow if you're on the east coast! I'm in Chicago personally but am eyeing a potential nashville move...going to visit around the 4th with the miss and see whats up. Beer and hot chicken anyone? I'm still working out a fair price trying to calculate a hourly rate or general price per single block. Hard to gauge when it's still a shot in the dark considering I haven't gotten my hands on em yet. What say you shadow or jsteiger ? Or is this in too inside baseball in the public forums? If it's about 55 hours for the big boy 32 x 4, I guess that'd average at about 14 hours per block....but I can't remember if that included the carcass build as well; I think it didn't. In anycase here's my shop reverb.com/shop/sweetspotaudio though I'm sure us RGO members can work something out via DM's or whatever.... I was looking at the pcb pics uploaded on the site and looks like it's gonna be a doozy , repetitive but manageable- lets just hope more folks opt for red dot's or Rogue 5's, poppa ain't gonna wanna build all those op amps after the cards hehehe

Im certain Mars will be the new Nashville, im buying in now and moving next week. My best build delivery deal will be to go with Wiz’s free delivery anywhere. Let the record show I love Nashville.

Yeah. Kit only. I think Bender has mentioned interest in building these. But I think he just needs to do one to get an idea of labor/price. Yes I'll be offering these assembled like @shadowamd I think you meant to tag me there and not ShadowAmd... regarding the VP28's, I wasn't the original 'loss leader' haha, but I tried to keep up. Speaking of which, I definitely under priced the LC25/40 at $580, and I noticed you matched me there too. When I post them again, the price will be going up.... NO COLLUSION!! haha As for the SumBus, I've got a couple pending orders for some long time clients, and I'm going to build those for a bit of a discount, and figure out the actual build time. If the 55 hrs included the chassis, and we estimate 3 hours for the chassis, that leaves about 1hr40 mins per module, which seems a little on the high side... but maybe not considering there's a DT05 and meter board for every channel. So I'm roughly guessing 14-16 hours for an 8 channel SB2. I might have to hire a helper...

jsteiger , any comments on bus opamps? I'm thinking red dots or rogue 5's to preserve the high frequencies... Also, I'm tired of building gar's Oh and do you have an ETA on the new nickel transformer, 2503-HN? Will this be a cleaner option?

Also, I'm tired of building gar's Oh and do you have an ETA on the new nickel transformer, 2503-HN? Will this be a cleaner option? I have a batch of the new high nickels on order. My winder did not have enough lams in stock so he's thinking about 4-5 weeks on those. To keep my life simple and options low, the main kit bundles will only be offered with 2503-Litz outputs. Different options will be available when one gets the 2 additional bus output cards. We have been using red dots with them and they are fantastic. I do have some of Scott's SL-1731's so plan to offer those as an option. The gar918's are excellent in ACA duties and the garAM10's will also be great. I have never used that other one so can't say. I have more than enough options on hand already so probably will never hear it.
