Direct port of the code from the $10k hardware.

Of course, I wouldn’t have bought the $10k hardware either.

One of the most sought after mastering pieces ever. Pricey but very well respected. I’d be curious to hear the plug. Especially if it’s a direct port of the Weiss.

The joke's on them...they can't even see that I don't have $500...

Free 20 day demo and includes a maximizer as well. Bob Katz mastering compliments are not so easy to come by ? I always like the UA precision K plug.

We are now venturing into the $500 plugin market. Hmm. To be fair, it's billed as a multifunction piece. To match the functionality by buying the compressor, limiter, and de-esser plugins from DMG, Fabfilter, or similar would cost at least as much.

I downloaded the demo and it indeed sounds just like the hardware box... If used wisely this is a very deep plug-in... I will buy this!

I started testing this after Jantex said it was about the best thing he ever used, hardware or software. I'm swapping it in for Sknote SDC in my chains. The Weiss uses even more cpu than that. The results I'm getting are the best out of anything I've ever tried. Maybe there's something better out there though? I'm waiting for someone to post some criticism somewhere.

Its really good code..... If they release the Eq I could easily master in the box only.... I have some great mastering hardware but this is quite stunning software or not.

That is a Moving Target ..... I have a custom parametric EQ, a Hendy amps Michelangelo , a prototype Mastering comp by Hendy as well. A VCA based comp and a Silver bullet... I have owned most of the Mastering gear currently made..

I know a couple mastering engineers who swear by the Weiss EQ & comp. I’m definitely interested in checking this one out

Maybe yes and Bobby K. is also singing high on it. But to be true, Genrations recorded nice music without the DS-1. 500 Bucks for a single plug in. Jesus.... Even if I would be a very rich man - I would not buy it.

$500 is cheap if it further's one's professional work.... I have paid close to $9000.00 for one Mastering EQ before!

Great question allbuton.
I have the Liquid Sonics 7th Heaven, based on the Bricasti. So, I'd demo a Bricasti plug-in, and if it bettered the 7th Heaven, I probably would buy it. My go to reverb had been the Relab XL480 for years, but the 7th Heaven bumped it to my second positon/alternate reverb, and is the main reverb on my tracks now.
The Relab was $400 when I got it, and it trounced the competition back then. I had a coupon that would have gotten me the UAD Lexocon 224XL for $133 then, but I still chose the Relab.
I wouldn't argue if someone thought it was too expensive though.. Plug-ins are the gift that keeps on giving. UAD owners are making a fortune watching the orders come in with no parts to source, hardware to build, ship and service.

It has a De-esser, wouldn't that belong on a vocal track, and not a 2 bus? If you used it as a de-esser only, it would use a lot of dsp just for that single purpose, wouldn't it?
Or do people suggest using their de-esser and then rendering the track so you don't need it active anymore?

Up until recently most AVID plugins were $500. Waves Mercury was $12000 for the TDM version. I paid $500 each for several useful plugins. Times have changed now because every manufacturer is trying to be the cheapest. It's not helping the industry and it devalues all plugins. 5 years ago no one would have been surprised or offended by the price. Strange how little we value our tools.
I wish it was less, but that's not a bad price at all. I'll demo it.
